Motley Crue Singer Vince Neil Sentenced to Two Weeks in Jail for DUI

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has accepted a plea deal for charges of drunken driving in his Lamborghini last September.

AP reports say that Neil, 49, will serve two weeks of jail time, plus two weeks of house arrest. The singer agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence when he appeared before a Las Vegas judge on Tuesday.

His publicist released a statement on his behalf, saying, "I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all."

Neil's lawyer, David Chesnoff, added that the singer could have faced up to six months in jail and said his client "recognized that he needed to take responsibility for his actions."

The Motley Crue rocker is scheduled to begin serving his sentence Feb. 15. He was arrested June 27 for driving under the influence, only a week after declaring his sobriety.

This isnt the rock-and-roll frontman's first brush with the law. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drunken driving in a 1984 crash that killed his passenger, 24-year-old Nicholas Dingley. Neil was 25 at the time and walked away uninjured. He served 20 days in jail and paid $2.5 million in restitution to victims.

Guess Vince Neil didn't learn from killing someone while driving drunk in 1984. What a shame. You would think at 50 years old, he would know the damage that can be caused by DUI.

I agree!! I quit drinking 15 years ago, I was 40. I never killed anyone and think his behavior is immaturity and he cares about no one but himself

It's hard to believe that Vince Neil only got a slap on the wrist for drunken driving after incident in 1984. They should have thrown him in jail and tossed away the key.

He never stopped drinking. They all say that. He killed someone and still hasnt learned. Dont really like the guy. Who wears a shirt with there name on it....???? The groups name... but his??? Maybe hes his own group.? Both him and his wife look the same... wait a minute... they have the same plastic surgeon...LOL

Yeah guess you don't know much about Motley Crue or Vince. The shirt is a promo shirt for his solo career. he has just released a 3rd solo record and the pic is bit old from when he was promotiing the new solo cd tour.

What a looser, why only two weeks? The drummer of Hanoi Rocks never got to live out his dreams. This is one of the many things wrong with our Justas system.

Just watched his Celebrity Ghost Stories episode and he has had many demons to face in his lifetime. Heartbreaking that he was responsible for a death in 1984, and he also lost a child to cancer. He claimed to have stopped drinking and wanted sobriety.
Obviously no one learns any lessons and he has proven that with all the chances he gets. So many celebrities take their successes for granted.

He killed a guy before while driving drunk! 2 weeks? Are you serious? He admitted that after he killed that guy and was ordered to do a PSA on druck driving he was drunk making the tv spot. Pathetic! The Las Vegas judge should be ordered to let a drunk Vince Neil drive him around town for awhile!

Ha. Sounds like something that would have happened to me back when I was using. Although I'd get pulled over on my way home from "the NA meeting" or something....

Hope he can pull it togther though. I really do.

Please people don't ever drink and drive .If the authorities wan't to really punish Vince just take away his Botox .
