Guns N' Roses Show No Love to 'Glee'

The cast members of 'Glee' won't be heading to Paradise City anytime soon.
Guns N' Roses have reportedly turned down the hit TV show's request to feature their songs, according to
Entertainment Weekly. In a Sunday interview with the magazine, Slash didn't give details on how the band voted, but made it clear that if it were solely up to him, he'd rather be watching 'Grease.'
"In the current climate of what's going on in entertainment these days, I try to be more optimistic than negative because it's really easy to get negative about it, but I draw the line at 'Glee,'" he said.
"When 'Grease' came out I was like, 'Oh, c'mon, give me a break,'" said Slash, who's currently touring with Ozzy Osbourne. "Actually, I look at 'Grease' now and think (that) between 'High School Musical' and 'Glee,' 'Grease' was a brilliant work of art."
Guns N' Roses are one of just a handful of high-profile musical acts to decline the invitation. Coldplay and Kings of Leon have passed on the show, but given that Glee becomes more of a cultural juggernaut every week, both have been rumored to be reconsidering the offer.
Even, Oscar nominated actress and all-around Hollywood sweetheart
Anne Hathaway will make a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of 'Glee,' according to
E! News.
Creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the news backstage at the Golden Globes, right after the hit show won a
Golden Globe for Best Series. According to
Us Weekly, the 'Love and Other Drugs' star is scheduled to play Kurt's lesbian aunt in an upcoming episode.

Even Bryan Adams said 'No' to Glee.

I kinda don't blame them...it seems a bit 'cheap' sometimes to jump on the bandwagon of whatever is the latest thing.

Let's face it, Glee is all about the gay agenda! I say bravo to all the artists that decline to participate in hollywierd at it's lowest.

Shut up. Thanks.
Geez....guns and roses is so 20 yrs ago. They need to retire to florida already and open a bagel shop.

Slash isnt a member of guns n roses.....why would they ask him anything? What the hell is glee?

Guess your not into much of the music biz. Slash is an original member who has ownership and gets royalties to the original GnR songs he helped write and each member on those albums has a say in usary rights. So yeah he was part of GnR and yes he has a say like each original member and glee is a show for gay musicals thats on Fox and wastes 30 minutes of tv weekly. No straight musician with any hard edge would let glee ruin thier songs.
If it's caterwauling, it must be Tuesday. What anybody sees in Glee, that overdone in every way piece of cheap trash, is beyond me. My husband watches it. I have to leave the vicinity. Jane Lynch is the best of it, Lea Michele is the worst of it.

Then why are you watching it?
Did anyone ever teach you that people are allowed to have different tastes? Or that your opinion isn't right simply because it's different? Maybe? No?
I have to agree. Glee doesn't get it for me. Jane Lynch cracks me up, I've seen her on so many other things but I just can't get through five minutes of the musical/Tv show. I did like the show "FAME" in the 80s but it didn't seem as corny as GLEE. Not a fan and I think good old time rocknrollers should be true to themselves.

DITTO!!!!
I've only seen one episode and that was the Britney one and it was ok. Jane Lynch is funny but she's better playing Charlie Sheens Therapist on Two and A Half Men.
Lea Michele I am SO NOT a fan at all. She is just so overrated.

Slash is one of the most arrogant, self important people I've had the displeasure to meet. And to the person who says "Glee" is all about the "gay agenda"- You're ridiculous.

I think you're gay that's why you like it so much!
Really, what does it say about the populace in general that something as shallow and vapid as Glee can be accurately described as a "cultural juggernaut" by anyone?

You'd think they might want to do something that actually makes them RELEVANT to at least 2 generations of kids that don't even know who GnR are...

I can understand his point. Why would he/they want to reintroduce their music to young generations who never heard of them or their music and would then buy their CDs. Guess their current advertising is working so well they don't need the money or acclaim.
