Venus Williams' Most Outrageous Get-Ups

Although she often makes more headlines for her wardrobe choices than her aces, Venus Williams doesn't seem to mind. From tennis tutus to slits up to who knows where, Venus proves that jocks don't have to live in T-shirts and sweatpants.

As the 2011 Australian Open kicks off, Williams is heating up the scoreboard and the court with her quick victories and barely-there dresses. In the first round of this year's Open, Williams wore a tiny blue number that is one of her own designs. But it seems that Australians were spared even more of an eyeful of Williams, as she admits she made a last minute switch to black shorts rather than her signature flesh-tone shorts.

This isn't the first time Williams has let it all hang out, and it certainly will not be the last. Let's take a look back at some of her most outrageous, thigh-high ensembles.

No, that's not Williams' very muscular bare bum -- but it sure looks like it. The tennis star took French avant-garde fashion to a whole new level when she showed up in this lacy black and red number for the 2010 French Open. The shorter-than-short jupe didn't cover much of the super-muscular athlete's backside and gave audience members more than an eyeful of her flesh-tone spandex shorts.

Williams looked more like a Miley Cyrus backup dancer than one of the world's greatest tennis players when she took to the court in this skin-tight, sequined ensemble at the 2010 U.S. Open. Talk about a distraction -- maybe her bold fashion choices are more strategy than scandal.

Williams looked like she was ready for a night of clubbing when she once again showed up to a 2010 U.S. Open match in a sheer, black sequined number.

The athlete channeled her inner flamenco dancer on the tennis court for Wimbledon 2010. The famed "tennis whites only" Wimbledon tournament is known for its players' classic pleated skirts and polo shirts. We're pretty sure they didn't expect one of their players to show up in a fringed mini dress -- but hey, it is white. Williams later explained that the dress was inspired by Tina Turner, an artist she greatly admires and who gives her inspiration on the court.

Williams once again pulled out the flesh-toned shorts at the 2010 Australian Open and had viewers buzzing as to whether she was wearing any skivvies at all. The neon dress featured some major slits -- for movement right?

She happens to be a girl, and an individual. Why can't people quit judging everything & everybody. If the officials (or who ever has that as a job)are okay with it and she's not breaking rules then it's okay with me! Nothing stays the same forever and I say kudos to people that aren't afraid to step outside of the box!!

I guess I can appreciate what she is trying to do. She's a girl whose into fashion and thinks the outfits worn for years and years need an upgrade, however looking at her in these outfits are like putting lipstick on a pig. She looks like an ugly dude and her body is too muscular.
