Elton John: 'F**k You' If You're Against Gay Marriage

Elton John and partner David Furnish may have fame, fortune and a loving family, but the 'Rocket Man' singer won't be satisfied until gay couples are granted the same rights as their heterosexual counterparts.

Last night at billionaire Ron Burkle's Los Angeles fundraiser to overturn Proposition 8, the new father had some choice words for those who oppose gay marriage, RadarOnline.com reports.

"I think I have it all," said the singer, who welcomed son Zachary via surrogate last month. "I have a wonderful career, a wonderful life. I have my health, I have a partner of 17 years, and now I have a son. I don't have everything because I don't have the respect of people like the church or like politicians who tell me that I'm not worthy, that I'm lesser because I'm gay, well f**k you!"

John performed a 90-minute set of both new material and his classic hits for the 750-person crowd, which included 'Glee' star Jane Lynch and her partner, Dr. Lara Embry.

During the event, which raised more than $3 million for the restoration of marriage equality, John continued to voice his frustration over the disparity between his rights and those of other parents.

"Here I am sitting with a wedding ring and I'm with my partner and we have a son, but we couldn't get married," he said.

Despite his joy over the birth of Zachary, John's road to fatherhood hasn't been without obstacles. Just last year, John and Furnish were turned down after trying to adopt an HIV-positive boy from the Ukraine, where civil marriages are not legally recognized.

John does, however, have hope for the future. "We have a right to be recognized as a human being. We have to fight the good fight," he said. "And we will win."

I feel so sorry for his adopted son,what a sick environment to bring a child up in, he has no choice.. its one thing to be an adult and chose that lifestyle but an innocent child should not be exposed to it.... sick sick sick

Amen also Rebecca. I see it a disgusting threat to the continuation/procreation of the human species. They do not bring children into the world, but I cannot imagine having 2 of the same sex parent's. Talk about really screwing up a child's life!

People have a right to disagree with homosexual marriage, just like people have a right to agree with it. I disagree with it, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop people from having the right to think diferently.

Elton John is not a bigot. Everyone, and I mean everyone, should be able to marry the person they love. Every person who rants, bullies, etc. to people who are gay are the bigots. Gay people are just like everyone else.

It is as simple as this. God instituted marriage to be between a Man and a Woman, PERIOD!! If you gays want to be together, great. Just dont call it MARRIAGE!! I am sick and tired of having to put up with crapola like this, just because they want to be ! It disgusts me to have to explain to my kids and now grand kids, that there are people that go against gods word! My kids( I have 6, 3boys 3 girls) and grandkids (5 3boys 2 girls)have all gone to our church schools from K- 8th grade. And having learned that (homosexuality is wrong) is hard for them to belive that in this world with all that is seen in our collapsing and eroding , permisscuos society! Acknowledging,and condoning such behavior, as is the norm nowadays, is WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!There is no bigotry here, just a this kind of lifestyle is just plain WRONG! PERIOD!!
