Elton John: 'F**k You' If You're Against Gay Marriage

Elton John and partner David Furnish may have fame, fortune and a loving family, but the 'Rocket Man' singer won't be satisfied until gay couples are granted the same rights as their heterosexual counterparts.

Last night at billionaire Ron Burkle's Los Angeles fundraiser to overturn Proposition 8, the new father had some choice words for those who oppose gay marriage, RadarOnline.com reports.

"I think I have it all," said the singer, who welcomed son Zachary via surrogate last month. "I have a wonderful career, a wonderful life. I have my health, I have a partner of 17 years, and now I have a son. I don't have everything because I don't have the respect of people like the church or like politicians who tell me that I'm not worthy, that I'm lesser because I'm gay, well f**k you!"

John performed a 90-minute set of both new material and his classic hits for the 750-person crowd, which included 'Glee' star Jane Lynch and her partner, Dr. Lara Embry.

During the event, which raised more than $3 million for the restoration of marriage equality, John continued to voice his frustration over the disparity between his rights and those of other parents.

"Here I am sitting with a wedding ring and I'm with my partner and we have a son, but we couldn't get married," he said.

Despite his joy over the birth of Zachary, John's road to fatherhood hasn't been without obstacles. Just last year, John and Furnish were turned down after trying to adopt an HIV-positive boy from the Ukraine, where civil marriages are not legally recognized.

John does, however, have hope for the future. "We have a right to be recognized as a human being. We have to fight the good fight," he said. "And we will win."

Rebecca- Homosexuality is older than the Bible and hasn't been badly translated and politically manipulated (except that it is now being used as a political tool)- it is what it is. What exactly is God going to do? What exactly has He done about it since it always existed? Humans are the only ones that reject homosexuality and made it out to be an aberration just as humans wrote the Bible.

Carole, I will tell you what God will do. To any person who hasn't accepted Jesus into their hearts, when he returns, he will send his angels throughout the earth and cast them in the fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I am not speaking exclusively about gays, but anyone. Jesus also said if you acknowledge me before men, I will acknowledge before my father but he who does not acknowledge me before men, I will not acknowledge him. Now I'm finished with this. Elton John has no right to say F U to those who don't agree with their lifestyle. I do not condemn him, that is not my job. We are to love the people, but not the sin.

Tsk, tsk! Elton John accuses others of being hateful while spewing out hate-filled words himself. I guess Sir John gleefully observes a double standard: kind words for those with whom you agree, and hateful condemnation for those with whom you don't agree.

Let your man do that Elton cause God knows I don't want your thing any where near me because we all know where yours has been! You are what makes it hard for anyone to accept guys because of the way yall throw it in everyones face. If you would act like a man and woman does who are married maybe people would accept a little bit but but no you try so hard to be a women you look like a nut. It's not just a simple opinion that Elton John is lashing out against. It's oppression.

Due to this kind of bigotry ("opinions" as you call it), his entire personal life is affected. He cannot marry his lover.

If the tables were turned, and there was a group of people preventing you from marriage (a basic civil right), I'm sure you would be irate as well.

If he and his lover were to be married tomorrow, I guarantee your life would not change a bit because of it.

My name is not God, and I cannot condemn ANYONE for their lifestyle. I don't necessarily agree with him saying F**k You, etc.; there has to be a nicer way to tell someone they are ignorant for not accepting others.

Also, to the person who said Jesus hates Elton - I think you had better ask forgiveness for that statement. What a thing to say.

Elton, I love you, but you have a child because a woman bore a child for you, so quit bringing the child into it, that doesn't condone the gay marriage, you and David did not conceive the child on your own. That's not a very tolerant thing for Elton John to say. Oh wait, he must believe that people have to be tolerant for his views and he doesn't have to be tolerant for their views. If he wants me to respect his right to believe in being Homo then I should be respected for my right to believe it is wrong.

This is simple being gay is a sin. I didn't make the rules I just live by them. This was ordained way before any of us were born. I think being gay should be controlled like any other sin. Stealing, murder, adultery, they are all sin and all of these immoral acts have laws, you must obstain from any of them as being gay. I choose to pray for the sinner and hate the sin as I would want anyone to pray for me. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of god but we just keep trying to walk and live as he did. Elton John is a wonderful singer and musician and none of us should be defined by our sexually but when you put it out there like he does as if he is the walking billboard for I am gay therefore you have to like, agree and put up with my decision and any act I do in public, don't expect anyone to agree with you and you will never be disappointed. I am an American and under my constitution I have rights and one is I don't to agree with this immoral act as I don't agree with murder, stealing or adultery. There is not one heterosexual that walks around saying, I am, therefore I am entitled or display acts in public as alot of homos do.(There is no such thing as a Straight Pride Parade) as long as this kind of debautery exist then why or how could you be given equal rights or respect? You have not earned it. You want to be homo then do it in your home under closed shades, no one wants to see how you do it or with whom.
