It's no "hard knock life" for the Smith family these days. Variety reports that Will Smith is exploring a remake of the classic musical 'Annie,' starring none other than daughter Willow Smith. The Sony project is still in development, and details surrounding it remain scarce. Sources say hip-hip mogul Jay-Z, who worked with Willow on her 'Whip My Hair' hit, is in talks to work on the music for the film. Whether or not it will feature new or orginial songs has yet to be decided.
The 10-year-old singer may have the singing down, but does she have the acting chops to go with it? The thespian bug does seem to run in the family.

Will Smith & his wife may know how to act, but his kid's can't act or sing worth a lick, Why do THEY try to push them into this stuff, they dress like trash, their looks like hell, and Mr. & Mrs. Will Smith think that it's cool, ULK, money, like they say BUY'S WHAT EVER YOU WANT, HOPE SOME OTHER KID GET'S THE ROLE SOMEONE WITH TALENT!!!!
Yes! Will, please stop prostituting your children. Enough is enough.
Annie? Again?? And with HER? REALLY?? A testament to the nepotism and lack of creativity in Hollywood these days. Wouldn't some sort of little smurfette who's obsessed with her hair in The Smurfs Movie at least be a little more realistic for a child with no real discernable talent?
haterrrrrrrrrr
yeah and next will remake 'Roots' with an all white cast. don't give this to a child whose parents have to buy movies for her to be in. give it to a kid who actually struggles to make it to the top and has real talent

The issue here is that if Will Smith is the one buying the rights to the movie and financing it too, he can put his freaking grandmother in the role if that is what he wants to do. Just don't go see it if it bothers you that much!
Please leave your kids out of it Will, we've had enough, dont you have enough money yet??? Not to be unkind but your kids cant act, neither can your wife!!!
well it was will's idea so why wouldnt he give it to his own child dummy
Will ruined 'The wild wild West".... now he wants to ruin Annie.... what is wrong with him?

I doubt it very much. I think taht somewhere out there is a young girl with talent that deserves the role of Annie & it is not Willow Smith. Will & Jada need to be told in no uncertain terms that their children just don't have what it takes as far as real acting is concerned. Of course, if you are going to buy the role for your daughter that is a different story. But that is totally unfair to the viewing public but most of all to Willow.
What about Jesus everybody knows he was White. Also the Karate Kid. This will be the thrid time this Family has done this.

hahahahahah, you slay me....Amazing that someone would be stupid enough to conceive of the idea that Jesus was white. Hahahahahahahahahah, funny
Please, there were already two super-lame film versions of this annoying B'way musical. It doesn't need a remake of any kind. Find some original material, please!

I remember the days when we all had to make our own way in life. Willow will never know what its like, to stuggle with the day to day life problems. I am happy for that, I dont wish any thing negative towards anyone, ever.
But by the time Willow is 18, she will have nothing to look forward to. She will have the attitude of been there, done that.
It never helps any child when everything is handed to them.
It seems as if thats exactly what happening here with Willow.
I hope her parents at least teach her some manners, and morals.
Discipline is never to be over looked either.

struggling is overrated...I wish I never how to struggle. I say give kids a headstart in whatever way you can.
Stop being a haters. The whole family is blessed. You just wish you could have been as blessed as they are. May god forgive you for your jealousy. Smith family keep spreading the joy and love with your family, and may GOD continue to blessed your family, and forgive your haters.
I do not use the term African American because not all Black People are from Africa. They also are from Jamaca, Hati, Carnary Islands and from other parts of the World. So to call Black People African Americans is Rasist and I'm not a Racist.
