As reports of Brad Womack's alleged past indiscretions surfaced this week, the star of ABC's 'The Bachelor' admits his youthful mistakes to PEOPLE.Tabloid rumors recently began to swirl of Womack's brushes with the law, which include fake IDs, public intoxication and forged checks.
"I'm sure I wouldn't be the first to admit that I had a couple of missteps when I was a teenager -- some 20 odd years ago," Womack told the magazine. "Some of the claims have been blown out of proportion, but I took responsibility for my actions and took immediate measures to remedy the situation."
Womack, now 38, continues, "It was just part of my growing pains back when I was still young and naive. You learn from your experiences good and bad -- and you move on. It ultimately builds character."

Robert, one screwball recognizes another, huh??
Funny how things are still surfacing about Brads past, like his troubles with the law as a teenager. That is no big deal. The most puzzling thing is how that fact the he is GAY has not surfaced yet in the tabloids. I have friends that are good friends with Brad and it is just a well known fact that he is gay and pretty okay with that. Not sure why he is on the show trying to be something he isn't. I guess publicity.

Yea, If he is gay get me his number...
i dont agree with ever hitting a woman but when she hits you, the jigs up, when that one came on the show and said this is for every woman in America, im sorry he did nothing wrong he didnt want either of them, he should have slapped her bad hard enough to plant her on her stupid azz

THAT'S JUST WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that would make the viewers opinion of Brad so much better, how exactly? I think Brad is a gentleman and in rejecting both of the women on the previous show he was on, he did the only right thing to do. I know I'd much rather someone tell me the truth, straight up, instead of asking me to marry them and then rejecting me. I admire and respect him for doing that because it takes a much bigger man to walk away, than it does to go ahead with something that he knows in his heart isn't what he wants. I applaud you Brad!
I'm glad his parents taughthim right. Bet yours didn't!
He did the right thing when he was on the show before and shouldn't be ostrizied for that. He deserves a second chance.

Ok, you say you know Brad. What is Brads Fathers name? What are Brads step brother and sisters name? And what are their mothers first name? Where does Brads Grandfather live? Brads father is my X brother in law. No, Brad is not Gay. I will post the answers later on. I have pictures of Brads father and Step brother and sister. If anyone cares to see them Email me. I have a feeling that Brads father will be apperaing in this years episode.

Look at what DeAnna did. She picked that guy she knew she didn't want to marry, because she knew if she didn't pick one of the guys she would be slammed like Brad was. I lost a lot of respect for her because she did that. The guy she picked was crazy about her and she hurt him. She is a loser just as I expect Brad is.

Have any of you that are being critical of the show, and of the Bachelor, actually watched the program ? I don't exactly know why Brad's past has made the news, but maybe it's a slow news day. Brad didn't chose Jenn or Deanna because they weren't right for him. He did the right thing by not choosing them. He would have been called out for asking one of them to marry him and then changing his mind or calling it off later. So no matter what he did, some people would be critical. I have been watching this season, and though I have seen a few mentally unstable women on there, I think Brad is doing a great job. Just because he is good looking, or successful in his business life doesn't mean that he shouldn't be able to find happiness. Maybe it's not YOUR choice for how you'd find a mate, but it's not really up to you. EVERYONE should be given a 2nd chance to redeem themselves. None of you are qualified to play judge and jury. If you want to be critical of something, check out your own backyard first. You may find that your own conduct, or personality needs an overhaul! I hope Brad finds happiness, everyone deserves to find someone to love.

He's brave. How many guys do you know that would put themselves through this again? Alex? Jake? or any of the others that did choose someone that they are no longer with? I respected Brad when he did not propose to a woman that he did not love three years ago. I'm glad he's back and I hope he finds love.
