As reports of Brad Womack's alleged past indiscretions surfaced this week, the star of ABC's 'The Bachelor' admits his youthful mistakes to PEOPLE.Tabloid rumors recently began to swirl of Womack's brushes with the law, which include fake IDs, public intoxication and forged checks.
"I'm sure I wouldn't be the first to admit that I had a couple of missteps when I was a teenager -- some 20 odd years ago," Womack told the magazine. "Some of the claims have been blown out of proportion, but I took responsibility for my actions and took immediate measures to remedy the situation."
Womack, now 38, continues, "It was just part of my growing pains back when I was still young and naive. You learn from your experiences good and bad -- and you move on. It ultimately builds character."

Being a “late bloomer” can be too hard, but Brad appears to be sensitive, and he is seriously working on himself. That is a positive for him. He may or may not find his wife in this group of women on “The Bachelor.” Whichever, relationships last only as long as they are suppose to, especially for late bloomers.

I can't believe people are still trying to crucify Brad because he didn't propose to Jenni or DeAnna !! He was so smart not to do that ! Nobody has to like him but some of the posts I see are really mean and cruel!

The whole concept of these shows The Bachelor or The Bachelorette is fake and wrong. It gives women and men false hope of how to find Mr. Right or Mrs. Right. Wow - how nice it must be to have so many choices, and get to make out or have sex with so many! Real life does not work that way, and Thank God. What has happened to the morals of this country. And then the fact that they get to have all these fancy dates and places to stay - just gives people another reason not to be satisfied with a date of pizza and a movie.
