Creed's Music Saves 13-Year-Old Boy From Wolves

If you ever wander into some spooky woods, you better have some Creed in your MP3 player, just to be safe. According to a report by Norwegian TV Channel TV2 (via
NME.com), when 13-year-old Walter Eikrem encountered a pack of wolves on his way home from school, all he had to do was blast Creed's 'Overcome' to chase them off.
"[They] didn't really get scared, they just turned around and simply trotted away," Eikrem said.
When the wolves closed in on him, Eikrem for some reason felt it was best to use his music to defend himself, so he took off his headphones and blasted the volume to the maximum. Turns out, it did just the trick.
Eikrem knew the last thing he wanted to do was run away at that moment, he said. "The worst thing you can do is run away because doing so just invites the wolves to chase you down."
According to the report, wolves are common in the Norwegian countryside, but rarely attack humans.
So what kind of music should we blast if we ever cross paths with a grizzly bear?

if you cross paths with a Grizzly, you have 2 options of music to blare. 1.)Metallica-Enter Sandman 2.)Brittany Spear-Hit Me Baby. If thses dont work, might as well run because you're as good as Grizzly-chow! :)

Even animals instinctively know that Creed is unlistenable.

Are you kidding me, unlistenable. They are the best Rock band in the last 25 years. Quit hating and if you think they are so bad then why even read an article pertaining to them.
The best rock band in 25 years??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
LOL - "best Rock Band in the last 25 years" ? What? What about GnR, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine. Credd is probably the worst band in the last 25 years.

I'm with Todd. Creed is horrible. Anyone who thinks otherwise should honestly have their head checked for brain damage because there HAS to be some physiological reason for having such bad taste.
Didn't know Creed was go for something...because they sure aren't for music. I wonder if Yellowcard, Hoobastank, and Goo Goo Dolls have the same effect.

Drew, one word, proofread. A few other words, listen to more than show tunes every once in while. Your bikini briefs/moisturizer/hair dye is/are showing.
One of their videos probably would have killed them.

Best rock band in 25 years? You should really stop letting your girlfriend pick your music for you. Scott Stapp makes Kid Rock look like Bob Dylan.

I may be showing my age here... SCORPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still love 'em!
Rock You Like A Hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are really digging for material, aren't you? This is a ridiculous story and has nothing to do with the choice of music nor the band.

Got you here AND to respond. What's more pathetic? Danielle, that's rhetorical, btw.
looks like those wolves are more critical listeners than a whole lot of people......hooooowwwwwwooooooohhh !!!!!

Yeah, just think, if this kid would have blasted Justin Bieber the wolves probably would have just exploded. YIKES!

If he blasted Justin Beiber the wolves would have eaten him just to put him out of his misery!
I thought he used Megadeth. Maybe Creed was used in addition to Megadeth.

This sounds like the beginning of the lamest April Fool's Day joke story ever....

i love how some people say a band sucks and they don't even have the talent to be in one,let alone one that makes it big.stick to guitar hero, thats about as close to creed as you will ever get.
