In his new IFC original short-based comedy series 'Portlandia,' Fred Armisen takes a comedic and whimsical look at the eco-friendly city whose residents may sometimes take themselves too seriously. Although he pokes fun at the political climate and eccentricities of Portland, Oregan, the 'SNL' veteran hopes the dreamy satire doesn't offend its residents."I didn't think about it at first, but afterward people kept asking me that question, and I thought, 'Oh yeah. Maybe that is a problem,'" Armisen tells PopEater, adding he has nothing but love for the city.

This is a clever manipulation. Tell people that they may be offended by something, and you will guarantee that at least the lunatic fringe will be vocally offended and you will drum up publicity. Anything for a buck.

I think the show is freakin funny. I'm an oregonian and it cracks me up. I know we're a strange group of people. Although in this article I just gotta ask, did you mean to misspell Oregon?
