Kat Von D's Engagement Ring Details

Kat Von D's surprise engagement to Jesse James was announced yesterday, and Us Weekly has the details on the ring.

Us Weekly reports that the ring is a 4-carat-plus platinum and diamond piece from Neil Lane's archival collection. It has a center diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds and a delicate filigree pattern with pretty scroll work.

Neil Lane is quoted saying, "She [Kat] absolutely loved her ring."

Von D wore the engagement ring to the 16th Annual Los Angeles Art Show Opening Night Premiere Party on Wednesday night, on the eve of their big announcement, where she expressed her feelings for James to Us Weekly.

"I feel really lucky. I think in the past I thought I knew what love was. I think I am growing up a lot too and realizing the truth in a lot of things and feel really blessed now," she said.

James has also openly professed his love for Von D -- on Twitter.

"Baby? You make it so easy to do everything I can to show you how Amazing you are. I see it as clear as a bell. My other half," he tweeted over the weekend.

He also told PEOPLE, "I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f****n' blast!"

The marriage will be the second for Von D, who divorced husband Oliver Peck in 2007, and the fourth for James.

James divorced from wife Sandra Bullock in June 2010 following reports of his infidelity. Sources close to Bullock tell PopEater that she was given a heads up that this would come out this week and that while she isn't exactly jumping for joy, she has accepted that James is moving on with his life with Von D.

Bullock's biggest priority right now is her adopted son, Louis, and she isn't planning to let anything get her off course from being the best mom she can be.

How a man could cheat on and lose Sandra Bullock is already beyond me... Now add to that fact that James ended up with this Kat lady and I am totally lost! Why would you trade in your "ferrari for a geo metro???" I have nothing against him but I just really feel for Sandra Bullock in this whole matter and hope that she has fully moved on and will meet the right man for her and any children involved. I guess if Kat ever falls out of the limelight there's always a job as a circus sideshow freak?????

Don't believe him for a second. He is so distraught over losing one of the best in all that Sandra is, he's pretending to be ecstatic. What else can he do ? He knows Sandra will never be back. I do believe without a doubt that Sandra is the most kind and loving he has ever met, attaching that description to Von D is an insult; after all -- kind and loving just doesn't fit with sleeping with a married man.

I think that they deserve each other, but I wonder what happened to the rocker boyfriend she "loved" so much? Some people turn on love like a light socket. Everytime they turn a new corner, they 'fall' in love. Love is something to hold dear and is made to last. I give them six months max!

I am so sorry that Sandra even had to meet this dirt bag. She was definately to good for James. He only married Sandra for her money and the attention that she would bring him.
I hope the he and Von D live to a ripe old age together. They both deserve each other. She is a f***ing scank and he is a

A lot of really unhappy people here spewing venom about those they don't know. And as far as Sandra Bullock being perfect.... That is doubtful, simply because there is no such thing as a perfect person. The public persona is very rarely ever what someone is like behind closed doors.

She live in Ca, and he lives in Texas, so his daughter, who was basically raised by sandra, her whole life, and he goes tocali everyweekend, who is left taking care daughter

he is in his 40, she is in her 20
sandra is a better match for him
she loves him and she loves his kids
she was a stable force in his kids lives, esp. the youngest one

He won custody of his daughter, due to sandra
and now, he is going to move his kids again, to be close to kat,

kat needs to think about not just him
but is she really good for his kids
