Kat Von D's Engagement Ring Details

Kat Von D's surprise engagement to Jesse James was announced yesterday, and Us Weekly has the details on the ring.

Us Weekly reports that the ring is a 4-carat-plus platinum and diamond piece from Neil Lane's archival collection. It has a center diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds and a delicate filigree pattern with pretty scroll work.

Neil Lane is quoted saying, "She [Kat] absolutely loved her ring."

Von D wore the engagement ring to the 16th Annual Los Angeles Art Show Opening Night Premiere Party on Wednesday night, on the eve of their big announcement, where she expressed her feelings for James to Us Weekly.

"I feel really lucky. I think in the past I thought I knew what love was. I think I am growing up a lot too and realizing the truth in a lot of things and feel really blessed now," she said.

James has also openly professed his love for Von D -- on Twitter.

"Baby? You make it so easy to do everything I can to show you how Amazing you are. I see it as clear as a bell. My other half," he tweeted over the weekend.

He also told PEOPLE, "I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f****n' blast!"

The marriage will be the second for Von D, who divorced husband Oliver Peck in 2007, and the fourth for James.

James divorced from wife Sandra Bullock in June 2010 following reports of his infidelity. Sources close to Bullock tell PopEater that she was given a heads up that this would come out this week and that while she isn't exactly jumping for joy, she has accepted that James is moving on with his life with Von D.

Bullock's biggest priority right now is her adopted son, Louis, and she isn't planning to let anything get her off course from being the best mom she can be.

So let me see if I understand it correctly. This pig, who cheated on Sandra, is going to marry a tattooed sow. And if they are lucky, they will have some little piglets, who will grow up to be big fat pigs like their parents. And, they won't live happily after, either.

Supposedly, Sandra and Jesse made plans before his infidelity to adopt the baby. I sympathize with Sandra's being swept into single motherhood in this way. Sure, she can afford nannies and so forth in a way that the average woman can't. But being a single mom still makes it harder to move on. And being a celebrity, if she's seen out partying, the critics will howl...

there is always some hard up hoe(Kat scank D) just waiting out there for some old man(jesse james)he looks like her father and she looks like the bride of frankinstein kat you truly are one scary person i would call you a woman but from your past shows and all the tattoos i don't think so your a nasty mess just like jesse he is old and very ugly so together your a big nasty mess LOL
