Report: Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Buys Silence from Assault Victim

Reports have come out saying that a person in Lindsay Lohan's camp promised to pay $25,000 to cut a deal with Dawn Holland, the Betty Ford worker who got fired after she claimed that Lohan had assaulted her in the rehab center.

RadarOnline reports that Holland agreed to the payment from a person associated with Lohan in return for refusing to testify against the actress.

An insider is quoted saying, "Dawn agreed to a $25,000 payment from someone directly associated with Lohan's camp. Dawn wanted the amount paid upfront. But Lohan's camp wanted to spread it out over a period of a few months, paying her in installments."

The insider continues, "That didn't suit Dawn, so the parties then agreed, in principle, for Lindsay to participate in a sit-down television interview with Dawn."

The plan was for Holland's camp to try and sell the potential interview with Lohan to various media sources. The insider says, "When the deal didn't materialize, Dawn became frustrated, fired her lawyer and engaged new legal counsel."

Holland did fire her lawyer Keith Davidson on Thursday afternoon. Davidson is reported saying that he is no longer representing Holland and says the decision was "mutual."

Davidson neither confirmed nor denied if settlement negotiations did take place as that information would be confidential, and as a lawyer he was prohibited from commenting on communications with his client.

Holland did tell law enforcement she wanted charges of battery against Lohan dropped, and her then-lawyer Davidson said, "nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution."

The insider, however, did stop short of saying that the payment to Holland was done to buy her silence and cooperation, a situation that could very well have legal implications.

As of now, it is not clear if Lohan was aware of the deal.

In December, Holland appeared in an interview on TMZ claiming Lohan and two other girls had left the facility without permission and got drunk. In the video, Holland claims she was trying to get Lohan to submit to a breathalyzer test when the actress became belligerent, pushed her and snatched a phone from her hand, straining her arm.

Holland was fired almost immediately from the Betty Ford Center for identifying patients at the facility in the interview, "disclosing a privileged document" and violating HIPAA laws.

So far they're just trying to get a case too take to court. Therefore it's not officially witness tampering. Were there a case filed and in court then it would be witness tampering. It's a technicality, but it's also the law.

Every time I see that little trainwreck, her nose is reader and her face is more disgusting. I think we should leave her be too - to allow her to self-destruct into obscurity or oblivion. Either way, she will no longer get the attention she craves which drives her to do all this ridiculous crap. The sooner she hits bottom (no attention, no means to continue her habit) the sooner she goes away. That girl is never going to get her life back. She's enjoying it too much.

I must be one of the few people in the world who sympathizes with Lindsay. She was tossed into the business as a child, her mother didn't help guide her correctly and now after all of these years is spiraling out.... she needs to get away from her mother(Prob her father as well) and get real help. Tough love will solve her issues and get her back to where she belongs, the top of her game.
