Is Oprah Unhappy With Sarah Ferguson's Show?

A good rule of thumb when working for Oprah Winfrey: Don't bore the boss!

Sarah Ferguson, star of an upcoming reality show for Winfrey's new OWN network, is reportedly being asked to go back and shoot more compelling footage before 'Finding Sarah' debuts. Scheduled to air this spring, the series is allegedly being postponed, according to RadarOnline.

"Oprah isn't happy with the show...She found it boring...and has ordered reshoots to make it harder hitting, and more revealing," an insider tells the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

A spokesperson for OWN confirmed the delay: "As of now, we're anticipating that it will premiere in the summer."

So how did the duchess, one of the most scandalous rule-breakers among contemporary British royals, lose her edge on her way to launching a comeback, via an Oprah-blessed series? In theory, watching Ferguson rehab her life seems like a winner of a premise -- especially considering that her most famous on-camera 'scene' in recent memory was last year's undercover sting in which she was caught trying to sell access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, in exchange for more than half a million dollars.

Instead, the OWN show has apparently underwhelmed Ferguson's new boss, so far. "Oprah is very hands-on, and is over-seeing 'Finding Sarah' personally," says the Mail's source. "She wants the series to be the very best it can be. Sarah had also said the cameras would have access to members of her family, including her daughters, but we are finding it hard to get them to be part of it."

The Duchess, when announcing her involvement in 'Finding Sarah,' said in a September press release, "I'm doing this because I need to heal my mind, body and spirit....After 22 years of raising my two amazing daughters, it's time for me to mother myself. My hope is that sharing my journey will help someone else."

Who cares what Oprah thinks? Honestly, she's so over rated anymore. I for one am sick of seeing or hearing about her. Thank goodness I can change the channel but sadly, I can't change what people write.

You're WAY off base on this one! Oprah is a respected human being and after many years of being involved with production of her own show, SHOULD be an expert on what viewers consider "boring". Trying to see that Fergie suceeds is in her network's interest, so Sarah should appreciate the help. By the way, why/how could you dislike Oprah? --Is it jealousy or just a little bit of racial bias?

y did oprah hire her when in fact sarah was offered a show yr's back. the test show was so bad it was scratched.
& Gail got canceled less than a yr into her tv show yr's back. GET IT TOGETHER O!!!! Hire some real talent.

I thought she was much more interesting (Fergie) when she was referred to as the "Dutchess of Pork" and then there were the tabloid pics of her sucking some guys toes on a yacht in the Riviera???

Oprah is off the mark on this one. Absolutely zero interest in watching someone who SHOULD be in jail for selling access, "rehab" her life is boring to say the least. Fergie has made being an ex-member of the British family, her career. She has traded on her old relationship for way too long. No interest in rewarding such boorish and ugly behavior. Oprah should know better. I'm disappointed.

So apparently Sarah's reality isn't good enough for Oprah?? HUMMM, so I guess Sarah is suppose to go out and stage things that will entertain Oprah the Queen of the All Knowing! To me this means it is no longer a reality show but another one of those shows that simply take up air space. If she wanted her to have a nicely scripted show that would meet the requirements then that is what she should have ordered!

Since it is Oprah's network I guess she has the right to say what she wants in the programming, when you put up millions to do a show then you have the right to say what you want. Another thing is Oprah is helping Sarah get back on her feet financally.

I wish Oprah would pick a "real" person to do her show. I know some stay home moms who would do a really good job on a talk show and maybe they could possibly make a little money to contribute to their household budgets. Real issues for real everyday, hard-working people.
