Singer and former 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant Aaron Carter has entered a rehab center to get treated for "addiction problems."E! Online quotes a source who said that Carter's move to the rehab center was not a based on a court-mandated order but his own choice to finally get help.
"He was struggling recently and needed this," the source said.
Carter's manager, Johnny Wright, said that the singer, 23, came to him a few months ago wanting to return to music and restart his career. Carter has been in Orlando, Fla., working on a new album and "perfecting his live show and his physical body."
Wright said, "Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with."
He continues, "Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he's about to take. He asks that everyone keep him in their prayers and that they respect his privacy at this time."

He should get together with Linzey Loman. Maybe they can get a rehab discount.

He was like Justin Bieber about 10 years ago.
These 'stars' like to check into a rehab, then have a press conference to tell the world about it.
The man must have took two tylenol at one time, then got scared, called 911.
Then called the press, made a pathetic statement, saying his life is a total mess,, all for publicity.

Hollywood needs an euthanasia center for these headcases,of course with an in-house PR firm.

Wow...he looks old. Another piece of Hollywood waste.

You know in the "real" world, we don't get promoted for going into rehab. We'll probably get fired! Maybe if these stars were faced with losing what they seem to take for granted, we would see a lot less of them publically annoucing that they are "going into rehab". i.e. poor poor me! Buy my CD!

Your absolutely right but the problem is that the public is the one promoting them, not the artists themselves. The British and American public put their wrecked idols on a pedastal.
who the hell are these people

Carter is a sociopath. That was pretty obvious years ago when his family reality show demonstrated how his whole family was deeply scarred by truly bad parenting. Every one of those people had a personality disorder.
Sociopaths are often drug abusers, and they rarely recover for any meaningful length of time. The only thing he will get out of this current admission to treatment is a tiny bit of publicity.
He is going to land in prison eventually. He's hard-wired to self destruct.
This is the last thing I will ever say about him.

He is 23? He looked 40 in that picture! What happened?

I don't get the "back to the top" part of this. When was he ever "at the top," whatever THAT means....the only time I ever knew of him was DWTS, where I thought he was really immature....and.....now he is in rehab, which proves it....give someone who is two young (or stupid, or both)too much money (for what?) and this is what happens. It is sad.
