Bristol Palin Has a New Boyfriend, Wants Levi to Sign Over His Parental Rights

Bristol Palin has a new boyfriend, and while the 'Dancing With the Stars' alum declined to name her new beau, she said she's "thrilled."

The 20-year-old daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin gushed about her new life in Arizona in a radio interview Monday morning, saying, "I love the town that I live in. I love my house. Tripp's happy. He's healthy."

Bristol admitted she's asked her ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston to sign away his parental rights to their 2-year-old son. "Have I asked him to change Tripp's last name? Of course," she quipped. "I've asked him to do that many times. Just sign over your (parental) rights. He just doesn't want to sign them over because it looks bad on paper."

She added that since her stint on 'Dancing With the Stars' Levi has "seen (Tripp) at most three times," and each visit lasted only a few hours. Bristol also brought up the possibility of a career in radio.

Funny. People are so dead set again st the PAlins, but it is okay for the cast of Jersey Shore to be all over. I see no difference between the Palins, The Simmons, The OSbourne, Jersey Shore, etc

There are many parents in this situation where the other parent doesn't see the child that much but in no way is it a reason to ask him to sign over his rights unless of course they are proven to unfit and a danger to the child.

I didn't see Levi asking her to sign over her rights when he got a girlfriend. She even stated she was happy for him because the new girl was making Levi a better parent!

Now she has a boyfriend and a new life in AZ and therefore that foreits Levi's right because???

I only saw my Dad growing up once a year for a week for 15 years!

Why is this girl not in college preparing for the future of her and her son? She is relying on getting married, so when her 15 minutes of fame is up and she cannot make money off her misfortune anymore, she can let her husband take care of her. Way to go Sarah! You raised a real winner here. She trashes her child's father in public rather taking the high road knowing these news bites remain forever and her son will only know what idiots both parents were (or will always be). Whether or not he signs custody over to her, he will always be the father. Maybe he does not visit because her family is intimidating or she is a shrew. We don't know the facts. Amazing how we are supposed to give her some slack because she was a teenage mom, but we don't extend the same to Levi. The Palins had no problem having him lie when it benefited them...to play a part in their contrived family unit for the media. Smartest thing he could ever do is refuse to give up rights to his son. Don't let the Palins bully you out of your role as a parent. Grow up and be present in your son's life...otherwise you will be portrayed as the devil and mommy as an angel. Takes two to tango...takes a family to manipulate...and an agenda to ruin lives.

Bristol should move out of her parents house, get her own place and no doubt Levi would visit more often. No doubt it is the dreaded in-law who discourages visits. It would be a mistake to give up custody of the baby. He is the father.

Bristol has not been living at home, she had her own apartment (decorated really nice to boot) which I guess she was able to afford from her exploitation of her situation and her name. I agree that the family is probably a hindrance in his relationship with his son, but if he was to man up and realize that it does not matter if he truly wants a relationship with his son now or in the future. Palins are too used to getting things their way, he should not make it so easy on this matter.

I think that posting gunsites on people is hateful. And hateful suggestions (i.e. gunsites) inspire wack-os to act on it. Twenty people in Tucson were killed or injured by a Right winger suggestion.

As far as I know, no liberals have pasted gunsites on any GOPs.

No way should Levi sign over his parental rights. He is the father and should remain in his son's life. She has a new boyfriend, so I guess she thinks he would be better in Tripps life. What if that doesn't work out? Then what? Move on to the next Daddy?
