'Golden Voice' Ted Williams Ditches Rehab

One month ago, Ted Williams was a homeless man with a "golden voice" living on the streets of Columbus, Ohio. But one chance encounter and a Youtube video gone viral launched Williams into overnight superstardom. He had an emotional
reunion with his mother and even found work doing a
voice-over gig for a Kraft commercial.
But going from homeless to Hollywood is no easy transition. After a fiery
altercation with his daughter, Williams was convinced by Dr. Phil to
check into rehab after only one week of fame.
Now, less than two weeks after beginning treatment for drug and alcohol dependency at a center in Texas, Williams has left rehab against medical advice,
TMZ reports.
When Dr. Phil convinced Williams, 53, to seek professional treatment for his addictions, the overnight star seemed committed to getting help. Although Williams initially denied he'd been drinking, he admitted that the rise to fame had introduced signifiant stresses into his life and had been a definite challenge.
Life coach and radio host Mel Robbins told
PopEater, "Ted Williams may have a golden voice, but he's also got a rap sheet, a drug addiction, nine children he abandoned and a mother he has been estranged from for 20 years. Does everyone deserve a second chance, sure. But don't kid yourself -- you can't overcome a lifetime of bad decisions and mental health issues with a few morning show appearances."

His mother knew that he was being a big phony...you could certainly tell that if you saw the two of them on the morning show. Shame on him.

I actually gave Ted 4 weeks treatment before he bailed.... I am not surprised. I certainly hope that the media realizes his 15 minutes of fame are OVER.
I mean, did you hear Ted's lame conversation with Phil when his girlfriend was on the show. You could tell he was ready to split.

I agree with you. You could tell he was not going to stick with it and neither is she.
Maybe Keith Olbermann could offer him a job. Oh wait he doesnt have one either. Birds of a feather hey Keith!

Billy since Keith Olbermann can't offer Ted a job, maybe Rush Limbaugh will. I would hope that Ted is through with drugs but if not, he could get his supply from Rush!!
Looks like Dr Phil wasted his money! It's a shame!

Well he has had his second chance. So I say let him take his golden voice and go back to the streets. There should not be a third chance. His Mom and his kids saw through him.
