Kevin Smith Slams Bruce Willis in Interview

Director Kevin Smith has an opinion of
Bruce Willis, and he's not holding back.
According to the
Daily Mail, Smith recently went on the
'WTF with Marc Maron' podcast and slammed Willis' committment and attitude while shooting 2010's 'Cop Out,' which Smith directed.
Smith claims the actor neglected to promote the film, contributing to the movie's lackluster performance in theaters. 'Cop Out' grossed just $44 million in North America.
"It was difficult," Smith said. "I've never been involved in a situation like that where one component is not in the box at all. It was f***ing soul crushing."
The director continued on his rant, adding that Willis was difficult on set and refused to pose for promotional photos.
"I had no f***ing help from this dude whatsoever," Smith said.
Though Willis wasn't on his best behavior while shooting 'Cop Out,' the opposite can be said about his co-star Tracy Morgan, according to Smith.
"He's a f***ing dream," Smith said of the '30 Rock' actor. "Tracy Morgan, I would lay down in traffic for. Were it not for Tracy, I might've killed myself or someone else in the making of that movie."

Get over yourself, Kevin. "Cop Out" was utterly horrible and Mr. Willis had every reason to be ashamed of the film. You must have done one helluva con job to sell Bruce on this terrible script. Once filming started, it probably took him all of 5 minutes to realize he'd made a huge mistake.

I bet he wasn't too ashamed to cash his check.
"the actor neglected to promote the film, contributing to the movie's lackluster performance in theaters"
Or could it be that the movie just sucked?

Are you kidding me? Have you ever heard of Die Hard? He may not have had all A-List movies but you HAVE TO give him credit for all the Die Hard movies! I am a female and even I loved those movies!!!!

I agree. His Die HArd days are long over. He is proving his worth by his unprofessional attitude. I really do not know who he thinks he is. I wouldn't burn any bridges if I were you Bruce.
Bruce Willis is the ultimate POS. That's why Karma rewarded him with having him walk behind his wife his kids and her boyfriend down the red carpet. This is old news with him. (Its a little harsh, but i've heard even worse BWillis stories from fans)

A long time ago, when Bruce was living in Idaho, I was in the bar at a Jackpot, Nevada casino when Willis jumped onstage and started to sing. The boo birds lit up and he eventually fell off the stage, so drunk, security had to throw him out. One of his best movies was "Blind Date."

Willis lost his acting abilities when he lost his hair

Silent Boob, should not be making movies. They kick him off of airplanes for Gods sakes! His best friend is on the lamb. He likes Star Wars. What more do you need to be repelled by this guy.

Bruce Willis is alright, who could blame Bruce for not promoting the movie, it really sucked. Originally Robin Williams was suppose to star in this piece of garbage and because of some legal mumbo/jumbo it didn't happen for Robin so at the last minute Bruce took over and I'll bet he knew this was going to suck and boy it sure did.
I also Loved his Die-Hard movies and people should back off him.

See how these hollywood types trash each other?
But at the awards show last week, when Ricky G. what ever his last name is, said somethings about some of these very people, and all of hollywood is upset by it.
They all are the same way, they think they are too good to take a joke about their selves, but they sure will be fast to trash each other.
Kevin is not worth the mud on Bruces shoes.

PEOPLE trash each other. Not limited to Hollywood types.
oh God, he is a terrible actor. He is a short man, with a large ego.

Hey Phillip..
Let's get some things straight.. Kevin Smith did not write this movie, and Bruce Willis was signed on before Smith took the directing job. So please try and get your facts straight before you try and jump to defend "Mr Willis'" like you know him personally! Geez. For the record Bruce Willis has made some BAD movies aside from this. Let's keep it real!

Dude, Willis has made some pretty turd tastic movies. Hudson Hawk wasn't all that great. Most people don't even know of it. Disney's The Kid?? He's made some pretty bad choices. But Cop Out is not one of them. It is what it is. Smith went out to make an homage movie to the 80s buddy cop movie. And he did just that. If you have a problem with it, go out and make your own Cop Out, then say something.

Kevin Smith is awesome. I admire that he doesn't kiss the rest of Hollywood's behinds, and speaks his mind. And say what you will, he is an extremely intelligent guy.
