Steve Harvey's Ex-Wife Claims He Cheated and Left Her Homeless

Steve Harvey's ex-wife, Mary Harvey, blasted the comedian in a series of YouTube videos this weekend and alleged that he cheated on her, took their son and left her homeless. In the videos, totaling almost 30 minutes, Mary discusses their entire relationship, adding that his infidelity ultimately led to their divorce.

Recalling how their marriage unraveled, she claims that on their second anniversary she accidentally received a "confidential" envelope from his mistress. Although she knew he was cheating on her, Mary stayed with Steve for the sake of their son, Wynton. But she knew the marriage was over when she intercepted a phone call from Marjorie Bridges, whom Steve went on to marry after he and Mary divorced.

"I had committed to growing old with him. The first time I was aware of Marjorie [Bridges], I had nothing else to say ... I had given it all for the sake of my marriage and my family," she says.

After she confronted Steve, he abruptly left and dragged her through grueling divorce proceedings. "He turned my son against me and had me evicted from our house," she claims. "I woke up, and everything was gone."

The couple divorced in 2005. Steve Harvey married Bridges two years later. "When I think about how quickly he moved from me to Marjorie, that was disturbing," she said in the video.

Mary Harvey says she's only speaking now because her ex-husband is suing her. "In Steve's opinion, I was responsible when Oprah did not give him a TV show," she says. "I'm being sued for that. That is why I'm saying what I have to say ... So as much as I'm trying to move forward, I keep getting pulled back into a situation that I don't want to be a part of."

Mary went on to allege that in exchange for dropping the suit, Steve's lawyers prepared a letter for her to sign taking responsibility for the demise of their marriage.

In response, Steve Harvey's attorney released a statement (via PEOPLE) stating, "We are appalled and aware of the videos and other fabricated documents ... which contained false, misleading, derogatory, disparaging, malicious, explicit and slanderous information about Mr. Harvey, his current wife and others ... We are saddened that the ex-wife has resorted to such devious and selfish behavior, with a reckless disregard for their minor son, her adult son and Mr. Harvey's other children."

Steve always say time and time again that he is "work in progress", and no matter how we want to look at this, we all know this is what he has said he done in the past. I don't know if he has changed or not but we are not to judge. I have no problem with the books he writes because you can give good advice even if you are not walking the rightous path all the time. Advice is just that "Advice". It's not to say you do exactly what you speak evev though you know what is right to do.

I agree with many of you. I am not the biggest Steve Harvey fan, but Mary (the ex-wife) looks like a bitter woman. She did not appear on any celebrity talk show (TMZ) or in scandalous magazine (The National Enquirer); she posted her message on You Tube. It looks like she is trying to make a name for herself because the little money she had ran out.

My question is if all of this ocurred, why is she just now telling her story? I am not doubting that it did not happen. As many of you have pointed out, Steve Harvey has never claimed to be a man without faults. Still, to wait this long to reveil her information makes Mary look like a woman with a hidden agenda.

I will say this: ff you want to know about drugs, you should speak with a former drug user or drug dealer. So if you want to know about men "dogging" women out, then you should speak with a man who does that or used to do that. (I am sure that a current "dog" will not share his secrets). Based on this, I think Steve Harvey writing books make sense. Who better to tell you what a "dog" thinks than a former "dog"?

To those who dislike Steve Harvey: if you don't like his radio show, don't listen. If you don't like Family Feud, don't watch it. If you don't like his books, don't read them. There are choices in this world so make them.

Steve is a man just like most men. I am sure she knew what was going on. We as women get gut feelings all the time. She had access to the mony. You always put back money for a rainy day. You still do not air your dirt in the public. It just makes you look bitter.

I think Steve is a hypocrite and does not practice what he preaches. I read that his new wife is suing his ex-wife. WTF?? Why are they suing this homeless woman who child was ripped from her?? What are they thinking and who in the world is advising them to to do these things? I Strongly hope that GOD gives his ex-wife all that is owed to her and she is seen through this horrible situation.

Steve Harvey is the devil in disguise. If he is such a "changed man", why would he sue his ex-wife and the mother of his son over not getting a show with Oprah? Is he serious? That is low-down and dirty. Steve and his lawyer have been screwing over Mary and everyone else. He even tried to throw Bernie Mac under the bus. If he was dog during their marriage, then man-up and own up to it. It's not Mary's fault that Oprah found out he was snake. Even Wendy Williams said she could write a book on how dirty he is.

She is not the first woman to be cheated on & will not be the last, it is done get over it. That is why as women we have to have our own, instead of depending on a man for everything. That was her husband true enough, but she should have had a career or her own. Emotionally, she still would have been hurt, I mean she is human who would not be? But financially, she would have been okay. I just want her to move on and leave the past in the past. He did not want you okay. Never be in the business of wanting someone who does not want you. I like Steve Harvey he is very entertaining & he never claimed to be a saint like someone mentioned earlier. If he cheated, was he wrong for cheating? Yes. Does he deserve to be happy, yes. Maybe he was just not happy with her anymore,he just went about it the wrong way. It's not right, but it is okay. She needs to focus on her now.

What makes everyone so sure this is the gospel truth? Please there are two sides to every story. If you don't like him that's fine, but don't use this to drag him through the mud. You mean to tell me in six years she didn't get any settlement in the divorce, please. As for turning her son against her. Children grow up and learn for themselves so you can't really indoctrinate them too long. Give him the benefit of the doubt. He and Marjorie were married 2 years after he divorced. He's moved on and so should she. The truth will prevail. If you are legitimate why go on You Tube to put someone on blast 6 years later. She sounds like a bitter woman. I pray she get's over this and makes a life for herself.
