Valerie Bertinelli Ready to Flaunt Bikini Bod With Carrie Fisher

Valerie Bertinelli, who famously lost 40 lbs. on Jenny Craig, is ready to share the weight loss spotlight with the company's newest spokeswoman, Carrie Fisher.

"I would love to do a swimsuit reveal with Carrie. I've always looked up to her, so I'd love to film a commerical with her showing off her weight loss," Bertinelli told PopEater. "I'm proud of the progess she has made so far."

Bertinelli began her weight loss journey with Jenny Craig in 2007, when she weighed 172 lbs. Now, she weighs 125 lbs. She's delighted to hand the baton to Fisher, who was just named the new weight loss spokeswoman last week.

Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the original 'Star Wars' trilogy, is hoping to lose 30 pounds on the program.

"I know how to eat alone, but I need help not eating," Fisher told PopEater in early January. "I haven't been able to enjoy a good part of my life because so much of what's on my mind is about my weight."

Although she doesn't plan to wear her infamous Princess Leia two-piece when she reaches her weight loss goal, Fisher can't wait to show off her figure. She joined Jenny Craig's MetabolicMAX program in late November and reveals she has already shed 12 lbs. by eating plan-approved meals and exercising five days a week.

I am really just sooooo tired of hearing that Valerie Bertinelli is going to "flaunt her bikini bod". I feel like I see that same headline approximateley every 6 months. I used to like her because I thought she seemed real and down to earth, but now it seems like she, like almost every star out there, just wants to show off. I'm glad she lost some weight if it makes her happy, but realistically having just one child at a young age, it's not that hard to still look half decent. Valerie, you need to chill, we're getting tired of you, and you're not all that.

Ewww I feel sorry for you guys, you must be really hard up if Valerie Bertinelli is showing up in your dreams lol. Ya know, people are allowed to express their opinions without being told they are "jealous". I'm a guy married to a gorgeous woman, I just don't feel that VB is anything special so am I jealous too? I don't mind her as an actress, I've watched the show she is in a couple times and it's pretty funny but....Valerie....keep your clothing on.
