Elton John Records Duet With 'Glee's' Matthew Morrison

Apparently,
Sir Elton John has more than one reason to be "gleeful" these days. In addition to becoming a new dad to
baby Zachary with partner David Furnish, John recently recorded a duet with
Matthew Morrison for the 'Glee' star's upcoming solo album.
News officially broke three months ago that John would help Morrison, who plays glee club director Mr. Schuester. The two officially recorded the song this Monday to John's -- and we're sure, Morrison's -- delight.
"I just did it," says John in a
Parade interview. "It's a duet. It's ... really fantastic. He sings great on it." The Rocket Man even revealed that their duet is a mashup of two songs from John's 1972's 'Honky Chateau.' "It's a medley of 'Mona Lisas and Madhatters' going into 'Rocket Man.'"
Morrison, 32, says that he initially wanted to make a solo album that was 'Glee'-friendly, full of popular songs that would attract a younger audience, but it quickly morphed into something entirely different. "I don't want to make a 'Glee' album," says Morrison. "I want to do something that's really personal to me." His debut, 'Bringing It to the Masses,' will be out next month.
There's no word on whether the students of McKinley will cover any Elton John tunes in an upcoming episode, but he seemed excited about the possibility. "Of course, I'd be into that," he says. "It's always great when someone covers your songs, no matter how good or bad the version is. You know, I started out as a songwriter, so I always get a kick out of that."

Uh, wow. For one, Elton John is an incredible artist, and even more, an incredible person. Two, nowhere in this article does he say ANYTHING negative toward the US. Three, he obviously has the means to live anywhere in the world.. if he did have some sort of issue with the US, you'd think he would leave, y'know? And four.. who cares if he's gay, or a "homo bastard", as you put it, Ed. Seriously, does his sexual preference effect you in any way? Love is love, regardless of gender. He has been working so hard to fight for the rights of gays and lesbians everywhere, speaking out for all of us in order to gain the rights that we deserve. Thank you for, Sir Elton, for your music and your support in in the fight for gay rights. =]
Mellisa i think Ed has the right to hate what he doesn't like, emphatically he doesn't like ur type, just like me. Elton is a great musician, but gay, nay!Ed he can live wherever he want, Us, Uk, Africa, should not be ur trouble huh?
