Did 'Bachelor' Brad Ditch a Girlfriend for the Show?

In his second turn at being 'The Bachelor,' Brad Womack has claimed over and over that he's a new man, that he's gone through years of therapy and that he's ready to settle down.

According to Life & Style magazine, he may have been on the verge of doing just that -- before he signed on for a second go at being 'The Bachelor.'

Our friends at TV Squad got an exclusive preview of the magazine's upcoming issue, which features an interview with Bettina Bell, a contestant who made the final three on Womack's first 'Bachelor' season. Bell said that she gave him a second chance last year -- only to get dumped again when he started filming the current season.

"He was pursuing me like crazy, and then out of nowhere he went MIA," she told Life & Style.

The two reconnected after Womack's infamous rejection of both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. She said they began dating in October 2009 and that he dumped her last summer. Womack previously told Life & Style, however, that he hadn't "been in a true relationship since the show ended."

The magazine cites a source who claims Womack dated, but didn't "find anyone who captured his heart. That's why he decided to do 'The Bachelor' again."

Bell said she was shocked, though. "He said it was a bad experience. He was really negative about it," she told Life & Style, while noting, "The show has 18 million viewers. It can open a lot of doors."

Get over it honey, you didn't make the cut. Why do women think that "they" are the most special woman on planet earth?? Bit of an ego problem here. Someone should be able to tell in one hour if the "date" is worth seeing again. Nobody's fault really, just no spark. I get excited every morning watching my wife brush her teeth..she is a true life's partner.

I do not watch the bachelor but seen him on talk shows making the round. He is as exciting as a wet dishrag, monoton voice with nothing behind it. Just a spiffy dresser with no brains, typical for Texas.

I have to agree. I was BORN and RAISED in TEXAS and let me tell you..... There are some FINE MEN THERE... I found and married mine...

Groan . . . oh, no. But then why should anyone be surprised. For his own sake, I was hoping that he did figure himself out and get it together. He's not a kid anymore and should have conquered his demons by now. But if I were one of the ladies on the show, I would have gotten out early when I found out he was having a therapist coach him through the show. That's downright scary!!!!!!
