Steve Carell is leaving 'The Office' early, but not before an on-screen reunion with his 'Anchorman' co-star Will Ferrell.Ferrell will join Carell in the offices of Dunder Mifflin for a four-episode arc later this season, EW.com reports. Ferrell will play a branch manager who arrives from the home office and turns out to be just as incompetent as Michael Scott.
The show's Executive Producer Paul Lieberstein joked, "We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star, and we turned him into a television star. We are proud to continue 'The Office's' tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they'll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality."
The funny men will be reunited for three full episodes, then Ferrell will have one solo once Carell makes his early departure.

Sad to see Carell go (I don't know how the show can go on without him) but seeing Will on the show sounds awesome! LOVE THAT GUY!

This is awesome news! I was sad to hear that Steve Carell was leaving The Office and wondered who would fill his unique spot on the show. I think that (next to my husband) Will Ferrell is the funniest man alive.

You're right. I used to think I was funny, but then I saw Will Ferrell. And then, you told me about your husband. He is the funniest! That joke he played, marrying you, was a HOOT! And you haven't caught on yet. HAHAHAH!
He is not funny, silly yes funny no

Not a Will Ferrell fan. I think it ruins the show when big actors are brought on.

Liked Steve! Can't stand Will! Will, will close down the branch!

I like Steve, he is funny.
I like Will's work, he is funny too.
But Will is not a nice guy at all. He can be down right rude to his own fans, the people that helped him to get to where he is today. He wont even sign a autograph for anyone.
Thats why I say, I like his work, but him, not so much.

Steve Carell was the best boss ever! He should have gotten a pile of Emmys. I'm gonna give Will Ferrell a chance as the new pain in the #&% boss. The rest of the crew should be able to make this all work. Maybe when Will is gone they'll put Kevin or Creed in charge - forget it Halpert.

I was so sad to see Micheal (Steve Carelle) go I'm not gonna lie because he made the show what it was. I always watched the show to see what kind of shananigans he would get himself into but now he is gone. I like Will Ferrelle but its hard to add someone like that to replace such an important character in the show. I will still tune in because I love the show but I hope that the show succeeds with the new changes! I will miss watching you on the show michael! lol
