Bristol Palin Loves Being 3,600 Miles From Her Mom

It's not always easy leaving home and starting a new life for yourself, but now that Bristol Palin has traded freezing Alaska for the dry heat of Arizona, friends tell me she has zero intention of ever returning to her mom way, way up north in Wasilla.
"Bristol loves her mom and family, but it was time for her to start her own life with her son," a friend of Bristol's tells me. "'Dancing With the Stars' changed her life. She had never left home before, and it gave her the confidence to know she can survive and finally step out of her mom's shadow."
Being a whopping 3,600 miles away from home has let Bristol make her own decisions, rather than letting her mom influence her every move.
She bought a property in Maricopa, Ariz., last year with the money she earned from 'Dancing,' and she has even met with the management at Mix 96.9 FM in Phoenix to discuss a job in radio.
"Bristol was always a shy girl," her friend tells me. "She thought she would be working in an office for the rest of her life. She thought she would always be the governor's daughter who was never as pretty or as talented as her mom. But now that has all changed."
It may not come as a surprise to hear from insiders that Sarah can be a touch overbearing at times with her kids, and I'm told she didn't exactly encourage Bristol to flee the nest at the ripe age of 20.
"All this was Bristol's doing," her friend tells me. "She wants to make it on her own and hasn't taken a penny from her now-multimillionaire mother."
Bristol has yet to comment on whether she will accept the radio job or not, but even if she doesn't, something tells me everything is going to work out fine for this ambitious young lady.

Make it 7,000 miles and I'll be happy.
3,600, 7,000 neither is far enough away from motormouth Sarah Palin for me, put her on another planet, maybe that would be far enough away. Congratulations to Bristol, I think she is making positive steps in her life for her and her son, she is far more mature than her mother
Its great shes bought a home and is living on her own - Too bad it is not in another country along with her entire family
Who cares what she does. Just another person trying to make it. There is nothing special about her. Give it a break people.

Good for you Bristol. Your Mom is Beautiful, Intelligent and a
very wonderful person. But don't ever sell yourself short. Your a very beautiful young lady yourself, and have a lot going for
you. Always stay true to the values you've been taught. Don't
let anything or anybody force you to be anything other than what you are. And never let pride keep you from asking your family
for help or advice if you need it. They will always be the one's
that will stand behind you no matter what.

Scary, the values of a tramp. Lets review it gets laid unprotected sex under age and instead of doing the right thing and aborting decides to be the poster child for what not to do. People except Frank truely have no respect for ''do as I say not as I do lifstyle.'' She is as hypocritical as her mother. Professing virtues she does not have. Reality, girls her age hate her because she has done all the wrong things and has been rewarded for her actions. Then the audacity in saying don't have sex it's ok that I did, don't get knocked up, it's ok that I did.
She is disgraceful role model. Lead by example, good example that is.
Can't say as I blame her. I wish I was 5,000 miles from Sarah Palin. Seriously though, this is a great move for Bristol. She was always in her mother's limelight without a chance to be herself. I wish her good luck.

What in the world has Sarah Palin done to you? I don't imagine she cares where you live or how far you are from her. And Bristol loves her family, she is just trying to start her own life. I don't think she has any desire to totally separate from her parents and siblings. Just let her live her life! And make sure you don't move to Alaska. SARAH MIGHT GET YOU!!
Within 24 months Sara's semi-beautiful daughter will be broke and back in Alaska knocking on Mama's door.

Give the woman an apple.
Then go! We wait for the day everyone like you moves away!
I think Bristol Palin is the result of having Sarah Palin as a mom. I do not approve of having children out of wedlock, but with a woman as overbearing a mother as Sarah Palin is maybe Bristol did what she did because of it. Bristol has been put in the public eye because of mommy dearest and now that she is of age wants to be on her own with her son. I hope she can do it, but with her piranha of a mom it may be hard to do.

And she doesn't want to take money from mom? Okay. But does she think she would have been on Dancing if her mother weren't famous? No. I still don't now why she was. SHe isn't a star.

LOL, she couldn't have been that shy, I mean, you know, or did the Stork bring her that baby!? She seems to be a bit of a dullard like her mom, but not as mean-spirited...I honestly believe Sarah Palin's nastiness stems from a long-held grudge against her home state for not being voted Miss Alaska all those years ago. Probably why she ran for office up there just to show em what's what. I mean, let's examine her current psyche for a minute. She lost the Miss Alaska pageant, lost as VP of the country, couldn't take what she dished out as governor and quit, doesn't hold a degree from a prestigious university, is disliked by nearly 3/4 of the American people, and has very little going for her in the national arena other than her good looks and ability to fire up a small base of gun-hugging bigots who know as little as she does about the Constitution they all claim is being undermined by that "black African Muslim feller" in the White House. Of course, you know that if Sarah had a favorability rating of 80% or 90%, she'd still be shrill, bitter, and mean. So good luck Bristol, glad you escaped the madness up north. :O)

Good luck Bristol. Was surprised to learn you had bought a house so far from Alaska but can certainly understand wanting to have some independance.

Higher education leads to a better paying job, which leads to the ability to buy a car, house, etc. It's not an easy road to travel, but it can be done.
