Bristol Palin Loves Being 3,600 Miles From Her Mom

It's not always easy leaving home and starting a new life for yourself, but now that Bristol Palin has traded freezing Alaska for the dry heat of Arizona, friends tell me she has zero intention of ever returning to her mom way, way up north in Wasilla.

"Bristol loves her mom and family, but it was time for her to start her own life with her son," a friend of Bristol's tells me. "'Dancing With the Stars' changed her life. She had never left home before, and it gave her the confidence to know she can survive and finally step out of her mom's shadow."

Being a whopping 3,600 miles away from home has let Bristol make her own decisions, rather than letting her mom influence her every move.

She bought a property in Maricopa, Ariz., last year with the money she earned from 'Dancing,' and she has even met with the management at Mix 96.9 FM in Phoenix to discuss a job in radio.

"Bristol was always a shy girl," her friend tells me. "She thought she would be working in an office for the rest of her life. She thought she would always be the governor's daughter who was never as pretty or as talented as her mom. But now that has all changed."

It may not come as a surprise to hear from insiders that Sarah can be a touch overbearing at times with her kids, and I'm told she didn't exactly encourage Bristol to flee the nest at the ripe age of 20.

"All this was Bristol's doing," her friend tells me. "She wants to make it on her own and hasn't taken a penny from her now-multimillionaire mother."

Bristol has yet to comment on whether she will accept the radio job or not, but even if she doesn't, something tells me everything is going to work out fine for this ambitious young lady.

God Bless Bristol Palin. She needs to leave the nest & now she has to ward off all these "hawks" that want a place to live. The PRESS is her greatest enemy. She is beautiful & I hope she doesn't get pregnant before marriage again.

I wouldn't mind sharing that house with her, she's hot. Myself I think Bristol is "a lot" prettier than her mother Sarah, so she has nothing to worry about. Even though Sarah is not ugly by any means. She needs to get out from under her mother and her political garbage. If sarah even thinks about running for President, I don't see how anybody could vote for her. Sarah doesn't have even close to enough political experiance to be in that office. Also, I wish Bristol good luck with the radio job that she did indeed get hired for.

Bristol Palin is still what I call a parasite mom, a single mother who uses her child to leech child support off of the father involved. The only thing she proves by doing this is how inferrior to and beneath him she is.

Spend your money wisely because I wouldn't want to go back to Wasilla, Alaska either. I've been watching Alaska State Troopers and what a waste land that state is. Beautiful scenery...but you can only stare at that so long. The people out there make rednecks look like Harvard graduates. Makes sense that Sarah Palin could be elected in that state; 15 people probably voted.

Scary, the values of a tramp. Lets review it gets laid unprotected sex under age and instead of doing the right thing and aborting decides to be the poster child for what not to do. People except Palintards truely have no respect for ''do as I say not as I do lifstyle.'' She is as hypocritical as her mother. Professing virtues she does not have. Reality, girls her age hate her because she has done all the wrong things and has been rewarded for her actions. Then the audacity in saying don't have sex it's ok that I did, don't get knocked up, it's ok that I did.
She is disgraceful role model. Lead by example, good example that is.

I heard that she has a job with a local radio station. I wish her well....especially after all the critizism she recieved for the hateful liberal news media.

I'm happy for her. However, she should realize how lucky she is. Lots of people work very hard their whole lives and still have to do without certain things and aren't able to pay off a nice home all at once. I give her credit for raising her son and spending her money on a home, but so many other people have to struggle for everything they have in their lives. I hope this is something she will think about.

I think that Bristol Palin thought smart by using some of her earnings from Dancing With the Stars to buy a new home. I like the new house. I think she wants to carve her own path away from her politician mother. And she wants to move on from her ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston and start with her new boyfriend and her son.
