Update: Charlie Sheen Didn't Overdose; Actor Has Hernia

Phew, guys, let's all take a deep breath. It wasn't an overdose or wild coke bender that sent Charlie Sheen to the hospital. The poor guy has a hernia!

TMZ reports that it was a hernia that triggered those "severe abdominal pains" that landed Charlie in the hospital. Sources say the hernia "causes acid and food to back up into the esophagus. ... We're told it causes 'horrible, horrendous pain.'"

Still, TMZ claims that the the actor smoked cocaine and critiqued porn during the 36-hour party bender that landed him in the hospital. Their sources say Charlie was indeed doing drugs for hours, partying with porn stars and critiquing the finer art of adult films prior to the 911 call leading to his hospitalization.

This health news comes after reports that CBS executives hope to force the 'Two and a Half Men' star into rehab.

Charlie's co-star Jon Cryer recently joked about working with Charlie, admitting it was completely "unpredictable" and kidding that he checks TMZ to see if he "has to go into work."

Now if anybody here knows alcoholism, they know that a quick rehab doesn't fix the problem. The band-aid falls off, and the wound is still there festering. If he wants to get help to appease fans, or keep his big paycheck, he'll end up with no fans, and being fired if doesn't want this for himself.
He's such a great actor... He isn't taking this time for himself seriously. I wish he would realize that he would gain more respect for himself and from others if he took the opportunity to get well.
