Bristol Palin won't be speaking to Washington University students about teen pregnancy and abstinence. Student protests caused the university to withdraw their invitation to Bristol, Reuters reports. The University Student Health Advisory Committee proposed the appearance as part of Student Sexual Responsibility Week and approved of spending $20,000 to sponsor the panel which would feature the 'Dancing with the Stars' alum.
But "because of the growing controversy among undergraduates over the decision to pay for the talk with student-generated funds" the committee decided it was best to cancel the abstinence advocate's appearance.
Bristol became pregnant at 17, and at 20, is now a single mom to her 2-year-old son Tripp. She's "thrilled" with her new life in Arizona, and even has a new boyfriend. Although she wasn't an abstinence practitioner during her own teenage years, she's now an outspoken advocate for waiting until marriage to have sex.

Okay, I'm not fond of the Palins -- to put it mildly. Sure, Bristol's an opportunist like her mom, but you can blame her for accepting an invitation to speak at a university. No, blame the idiot academics who advocated having this uneducated airhead speak at an institution of higher learning! Geez, I'd hate to have such people in charge of MY education.

Because it is so much more responsible to be a single welfare mother dependent upon governmnet handouts to raise a kid, right? At least Bristol is out there earning a living to support her child rather than being a leech upon society. Oh, wait, that would make her the perfect Democrat lemming voter wouldn't it!
Congratulations terry!
I elect you to be the poster child example of an Intelligent, Tolerant Liberal.
20K to listen to a dim wit they would have to be crazy. Maybe it is time these low lifes were tossed off the gravy train they have nothing to offer but senseless ramblings.

What an issue to get paid to speak about to a group of kids who 1) graduated high school and are in college, 2) don't have a child, 3) have gotten this far by being abstinent or responsible, 4) don't see the purpose of supporting her! Also, how do you prove you're abstinent? Because you say so doesn't quite convince us! Hopefully, she's learned about birth control methods and responsibility in this whole unwed teen mother scenario! Maybe she should learn from them!

SO WELL PUT, I THANK YOU
Why would a university student want to listen to an uneducated person, who is only interested in fame, on abstinence, and waste university funds on it.

Now if the protesters would do the same thing with the mother this country would be a much better place.

The Republican's "Just Say No" abstinence program was a gigantic failure, wasting millions of dollars, getting NO results, and probably led to thousands of teens getting pregnant because we wouldn't give them REALISTIC information. And now Palin wants to continue it in the face of tons of evidence showing otherwise??? WAKE UP AND JOIN THE REAL WORLD....................!!!!!

I guess mommy needs more publicity

No mommy wants more money, if I was one of those students I would demand a credit on my tuition fee, because they paid that quack and imposter, Bristol Palin a cancellation fee.
What else? Just like her cute azz mom, a baby-maker machine!!!

Glad the students invoked their RIGHTS for not wanting to use THEIR funds to not pay the skank to speak

This continues to show how easily College Students are led. Their imaturity only proves they are not prepared for the real world. Most College grads are not even ready to face the world on their own, hence the Liberals have allowed them to suck off their parents breast for medical insurance until 26. They can vote, drink, use dope, but not take care of themselves. By the way our Military personnel are far ahead of most college students. Figure that out.
