Charlie Sheen Voluntarily Enters Rehab; 'Two and a Half Men' on Hiatus

After spending Thursday hospitalized for a reported hernia, Charlie Sheen left Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Now, Radaronline.com reports that the 45-year-old has checked himself into rehab.

"Charlie Sheen has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today," his rep Stan Rosenfeld said. "He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern."

'Two and a Half Men' was rescheduled to resume filming next week, but CBS has now announced the show is being placed "on production hiatus. We are profoundly concerned for (Sheen's) well-being, and support his decision."

Sheen was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai yesterday morning, following several calls to 911, including two from 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and her husband.

According to TMZ, the actor was having severe abdominal pains -- the result of a hiatal hernia -- and did not suffer a drug overdose as many believed.

The star was reportedly smoking cocaine with several women leading up to his hospitalization.

A TMZ report also alleges that prior to the actor's hospitalization, a person showed up to Sheen's home with a designer "briefcase full of cocaine." Sheen allegedly began doing the drug for several hours. At the time, his rep said, "I can't comment because I have no idea if it's true. You choose to believe your source, I don't."

Sheen was previously hospitalized in October 2010 at the tail-end of a night with adult film star Capri Anderson. Authorities found Sheen drunk and naked, having badly damaged his surroundings at the Plaza Hotel in a fit of rage.

suitcase full of coke and no jail time? must be nice to be rich. michael jackson would still be alive if they arrested him for his drug use-

I agree. Are the police investigating this briefcase of cocaine? Sounds like probable cause for a warrent to look around Charlie's home. If he's doin they should investigate. If there is no investigation the claim may not be true. UI think the police would look into it if it were a true allegation.

Don't you people realize gossip columnists reported the story about a suitcase full of cocaine? No ethical district attorney would ever think there was probable cause to search his house and no judge would ever sign a seach warrant due to gossip. You probably believe everything you read in the gossip rags at the grocery store too. They make up stories so they can sell their garbage to idiots like you.

I think this is a shame, that the producers, the directors, the actors, his family and friends, his dealer, his porn queens are are inabling him to kill himself..... Where are the police in this matter.. A rumor of a full suitcase of cocaine should at least be investigated.. This fool should be in jail then forced into rehab.. Before he kills someone.

I think his father needs to do the sam thing he did in 90s. And, they need to keep this guy working 24/7. He needs stability and is the only time he doesn't get in trouble. I hope he gets well. He can beat this he just has to realize.

The best thing that could happen to Charlie (and possibly save his life) is a good case of chronic pancreatitis. The pain involved is apparently on the level of childbirth without any form of anesthesia. My husband hasn't had a drink in over seven years after two rounds of pancreatitis. It won't kill you but you'll wish it would!

I agree with you...I think it was a pacreatitis attack. But just a little more info is that you can die from pacreatitis. Congrats to your husband for his continued recovery!

It says that he is ready to return to the set, not that he has. Guess what? He hasn't because the show is on hiatus. I'd like to know how the producers of the show can continue to insure him. I would think that he is too high a risk.

He's nothing more than a spoiled brat... even aside from the drug and alcohol problems. CBS execs are true enablers. I have had an hiatel (sp) hernia for 20+ years.... jeezzz. give me a break. I feel so sorry for his parent and children!! Hope he gets the RIGHT kid of help. But he won't untel the show is gone and he has no revenue streams...

I think it had to do with his liver.It's probably swelled the size of Texas by now from all of the hard partying he does.Or maybe it's an std.

I have a hiatal hernia and it IS entirely possible to end up in the hospital. It feels similar to a heart attack and can be sometimes hard to tell the difference. I don't know about Charlie, I think aside from that hes on a path of self destruction or so it would seem from reading the papers. You really don't know what to believe these days.
