Demi Lovato Checks Out of Rehab

Demi Lovato has finished rehab and is heading home to be with her family.

Lovato has "completed her prescribed treatment and an outpatient program near the treatment facility... and getting back to her regular routine," a source close to Lovato tells PEOPLE.

The singer checked into rehab in November to receive treatment for "emotional and physical issues," which some sources have identified as cutting and body image issues. Lovato was also accused of assault by backup dancer Alex Welch, while on the Jonas Brothers World Tour, but the "physical altercation" has already been settled.

After the incident, Lovato "felt awful about her behavior and realized she needed to take personal responsibility for it," said an insider close to the family. "Because of this, and because of the battles Demi has fought throughout her life, both she and her family realized she needed to take steps to get help immediately."

It was then that Lovato decided to enter treatment.

Earlier this month, the Disney star sent a personal message to her fans. "I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time," Lovato wrote on her Facebook page. "Thank you for standing beside me through it all."

She is actually very talented and I look up to her. My opinion of her hasn't changed ever since she checked herself into rehab(and good for her that she got help for herself). I still think she's awesome and my role model. HANG IN THERE DEMI!!!!!!!!!!I love reading this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via age'lessmate.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends..

All of your claims which are lies plus your being judgemental as well. Demi is a pretty good actress I like some of her songs nothing change my opinion of her just because she went into rehab.

Please Demi go away not only for the public sake but for your own. Anyone who cuts, drugs, and attacks needs alot of help. Three months in rehab won't do it. You aren't that talented and no one needs impressionable little girls with mothers that don't monitor what they do, look up to you.

What awesome well wishers you all are. If any of you have children you would know who she is. She is very talented with a wonderful and powerful voice. Of course she has body issues, she is on television. Shame on you for judging someone who is trying to help themselves.

idk why people act like its strange or unusual, a young girl having self confidence issues. at least shes getting help to get over her problems (that thank goodnesss arent coke like many) and is moving on

I give you so much credit for realizing you needed help. People shouldn't frown upon such a situation. You are an amazing talented, actress, singer and person.. and you dealt with problem that many teenagers and adults go through. Sometimes people forget that, even though your famous and your life seems perfect, you're still human and have normal issues. You're a role model and an inspiration to many people, myself included. And an event like this makes me look up to you even more. Rehab is only what people make of it. You learn, and you must take with you everything you've learned and use in all life's situations. No one can judge such a story unless they've been in your shoes. Stay strong, times like theses should only make you stronger. Always remember that, you're human and it's not a bad thing to have the issues you suffered from. And you will always have your family and fans for support, through this difficult journey we call life. Demi Lovato, you are my role model and I love you for who you are.
