Denise Richards 'Heartbroken,' Wants Charlie Sheen to Get Help for Kids' Sake
EXCLUSIVE: Within hours of being
hospitalized Thursday morning,
Charlie Sheen's ex-wife
Denise Richards was at his bedside once again doing everything in her power to help the troubled father of their two daughters. Sources close to the actress tell me she has joined his famous father in calling for Charlie to enter rehab.
"Denise is heartbroken and fears the day when she gets the call saying Charlie is no longer alive," a friend of the actress tells me.
This time, I'm told, is different, and Denise has decided that she is going to do whatever it takes to make Charlie realize he needs help. First things first, she believes he needs a new inner circle of friends.
"Charlie surrounds himself with yes people," an insider tells me. "If you say no to him, then you are out of his life. Denise is one of the only people that could convince him. It wouldn't be the first time Denise has begged for him to get the help he needs, but everyone is hoping that this time he listens to her."

Sheen's dad, Martin, has also reportedly signaled that he wants his son to seek help immediately. "Martin is extremely upset, as you can imagine," a source close to the family told
RadarOnline.com. "He's worried Charlie is going to kill himself."
Charlie left the hospital in secret Thursday night and his publicist, Stan Rosenfield, hinted that he has no plans to enter rehab. "He will be on the set of 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday," he said in a statement.
After three years of marriage, Denise and Charlie went through a bitter public divorce that was finalized in November 2006. At first, the couple agreed to shared custody of daughters Sam, 6, and Lola, 5, but last year Charlie signed parental rights over to Denise.
Charlie's prolonged meltdown, which came to a head during his rampage in a NYC hotel back in October, is putting the brutally honest Denise in an awkward position with her kids.
"It is becoming harder and harder for Denise to protect her daughters from what's going on as they get older," the star's close friend tells me. "She's an amazing mother and will not let Charlie leave these two beautiful little angels without a father. If she can't convince Charlie to get help simply because it's what he needs, then she hopes he will for the sake of his daughters."
It was a hernia that triggered the "severe abdominal pains" that sent Charlie to the hospital after a 36-hour party bender that reportedly included doing cocaine and watching porn with at least five women.
But Sheen's publicist tells me, "I have no firsthand knowledge of any of this. I have heard all of rumors you have. He [Charlie] has had a history of having this type of hernia, and the person who made the 911 call said he had severe stomach pains and said it was from a hernia condition. Since she is not a doctor, I did not extend her medical knowledge to the media."
According to PEOPLE, it was Dr. Paul Nassif and his wife Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, two stars of Bravo 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and Sheen's neighbors, who called for help.
Good luck, Denise. The time has come for someone (and it's not going to be CBS as long as Charlie remains a ratings powerhouse) to save Charlie from himself.

with all the bitter divorce and scandlas, and bad mouthing. Denise is still in love with Charlie. everytime i hear he is in trouble, you hear denise is there. yea shes doing it for the kids, but she loves him, because if she didnt she wouldnt care enough to be there. she'd just move on and wouldnt care what happened to him. wheres this other woman he is divorcing now? oh yea, in rehap. these people should have their kids taken away from them

can't stand this flake! go away denise! ur reality show was yuk!
Every time Charlie gets in trouble, she manages to get some press. She should be ready for sainthood if he gets drunk again.
I doubt she is in love with him Polyanna. She probably hates his guts, but does not want to lose child support and/or a father for her kids.
That guy is sick, of course you care for the father of your children that is that sick. But , love......I don't think so.
Carm, you are wrong and I am sure it isn't remotely close to the first time. Women that really care about what's best for their children never want to see their father hurt. Not smart, and non-bitter ones anyway. They put their personal feeling aside for the sake of their kids. That's called being an adult and a good parent. I really hope Sheen gets help, and realizes that he has two amazing children that need him around. I wonder if Robert Downey Jr. ever tries to get to him?
Charlie, just OD and die already and take Lohan with you when you go.
The very few alcoholics and addicts who get sober and stay sober for the long term (about 5%)do not do so for their children or their wives or girlfriends, or their jobs, or their doctors, or their attorneys, or the courts. They do it because they have had enough.
right there with you, she truly cares, she's not a hater thank God for that -and all the better if she still loves the father of her children. Way to go Denise, you rule!
get tired of that and go to alcohol and drugs myself. He's got to find himself and only he can do thaI love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agegapsin gles.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends.. Just love it
Good luck Denise. I know you don't have a clue who I am but I do understand ADDICTION. I like Charlie's work. He's one hell of an actor but if he doesn't WAKE UP one of these days it will be a TOO LATE REALITY.

'one hell of an actor'??? R U SERIOUS? My 80yo father could phone in his TV role and STILL win an Emmy. He may be an alcoholic, an addict and an all-round loser but, for certain, he is NOT one hell of an actor.
I think the network should insist Charlie seek counseling & enter rehab. Nothing else seems to work not even his children's welfare. The network must give Charlie Sheen an ultimatum: Rehab or your are released rom your contract. Period. It is called tough love. It saves lives.
Reply
Charlie wouldn't care if his contract was released by CBS because he didn't want it in the first place. He wanted off TV for the screen. Yea fat chance a director would put up with him! This pig deserves to die for all the hurts he's caused others. Some people just don't belong on the face of the earth. He's one of them. Life imatating art is why his show and salary are the highest paid. All this fame and money wasted on a worthless heel.
CBS will never release him they'd be sued because as they stated this morning on the set he is of no problem, they won't give Charlie Sheen the benefit of suing them for breaking his contract. Everyone should stop feeling sorry for this guy and worry about your own lives he thrives on the attention on and off the boob tube. PS did anyone see his bit part in Wall Street 2?
Your so right. Rehab is badly needed or he will die. This was an overdose I'm sure and they whitewash it as usual. they call him a bad boy and he really is an addict with violent behavior. He shot Kelly Preston years ago.. sick sick man!!
New York, I honestly think that CBS doesn't want him to get help. Everytime he gets in trouble, or something else is happening in his personal life, they get bigger ratings. Do you honestly think that they would ever tolerate him if he wasn't bringing them huge amounts of money? Only punishment he has received from the is a huge raise.
I totally agree. If CBS had Charlie's best interest in mind they would insist he get into Rehab immediately.
Are you kidding? This is great publicity for the show, the studio loves that. My god, viewer ratings have improved... I just wonder if it's real.
As the end of the article says, Charlie should be ordered to rehab by CBS and Two and Half Men, all they care about is their cash cow, however I tnink he is too far gone, but at least make the attempt CBS
Reply
unless he isn't doing his job, they can't order him to do anything. He could/would sue if they tried.
denise, shut up. if she said it
I really don't buy all these ' reports' um yeah
