Ryan Seacrest says that while he's confident 'American Idol' and 'The X Factor' can coexist, he's also sure that Simon Cowell will rub any 'X Factor' success in his face.

"He'll be the first to congratulate himself on his new ratings by sending me a fax of the ratings to my house the day after his new series premieres," Seacrest says on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

The 'Idol' host wishes Cowell the best in his new endeavor. Jimmy Kimmel asks, "Do you hope his [show] does better than yours?"

Seacrest replies, "Jimmy, it's been a long segment. I feel like we should take a break [and] come back." Kimmel quips, "You love taking breaks ... It's one of your favorite things." But there was no "after the break" for him this time. See the video after the jump!
