Ryan Seacrest says that while he's confident 'American Idol' and 'The X Factor' can coexist, he's also sure that Simon Cowell will rub any 'X Factor' success in his face."He'll be the first to congratulate himself on his new ratings by sending me a fax of the ratings to my house the day after his new series premieres," Seacrest says on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'
The 'Idol' host wishes Cowell the best in his new endeavor. Jimmy Kimmel asks, "Do you hope his [show] does better than yours?"
Seacrest replies, "Jimmy, it's been a long segment. I feel like we should take a break [and] come back." Kimmel quips, "You love taking breaks ... It's one of your favorite things." But there was no "after the break" for him this time. See the video after the jump!

"The XFactor America" initial success won't be because of Simon Cowell, but, simply the newness of the show and inquisitive viewers. It has already been shown that "American Idol" can flourish nicely without Cowell, especially when there is a truly objective, fair-minded, and respectful judge with a great personality like Steven Tyler at the helm.

"American Idol" can flourish nicely without Cowell, your kidding right, so in just three weeks into AI its a big hit already-- maybe its simply the newness of the show and inquisitive viewers.Plus your the only one in the world that thinks American Idol would still have been anything without Simon. He new show will blow-away AI ratings.
Xfactor America will beat the daylights out of AI. Especially if he has Paula Abdul on the panel. Please no Lady gagag. Simon is a man in a league of his own and there's only room for Paula to fit.
