Denise Richards Turning Down Tell-All Offers, Vows to Stand by Charlie Through Rehab

Now that Charlie Sheen is finally getting the help he needs by heading into rehab, it would be easy for his ex-wife Denise Richards to capitalize on what has become the biggest celebrity story of the week by giving a tell-all interview.

But Denise won't do it. Insiders close to the actress say she has been inundated with interview requests and has turned them all down.

"Her focus right now is on Charlie getting better and being there for her kids. He is their father and Denise wants him healthy so that he can be a part of their life," a source close to the Richards' camp tells PopEater.

We hear that Denise plans to stay strong and support Charlie while he goes through rehab. A rep for the 45-year-old actor wouldn't confirm how long his client plans to be in treatment, but insiders say they expect him to be in for at least three months.

Charlie's entry into treatment came after he was rushed to a hospital last week after reportedly partying with hard drugs and alcohol for several days at his home with several porn stars.

Even as news networks are practically begging Denise to spill all, she thinks it is best for her family right now to keep as much as she can private. She finally has some control over how this story will play out, and she plans to keep it as long as she can. The only feedback she has been giving about Charlie has come from her personal Twitter feed. Denise tweeted: "If you caught 'GMA' today...FYI No 'adult film star' will be babysitting our kids!"

An added advantage of turning down offers to talk is that it will help shield Denise from Charlie's bad behavior. She has been trying (successfully) to create her own brand and doesn't want it to be sullied by a constant association with Charlie. On a personal level, she feels she can be there for him, but professionally she doesn't want to co-brand herself with his actions.

You know, when they were divorcing and going through custody, Charlie and his handlers had all kinds of bad things to say about Denise, enough so that she was kind of a laughingstock and had a hard time finding work. She's been holding it all together for those kids and has stood behind Charlie a whole lot more than he's worth. Way to go, Denise. Proud of you, girl!

I agree Sue. It's nice that he has someone like her on his side. She could be making a boatload of money right now with interviews or a tell-all book. And it's nice that their kids won't be grown ups looking back at the mud slinging. He is their father. I like the guy and wish him well.

I give Denise alot of credit but all her support probably won't help him. Until Charlie Sheen decides that life isn't a party, he won't stay in rehab. I give him a week before he is out.

Denise Richards most definitely does NOT look foolish. She is a wise, mature grounded adult who is showing genuine concern for her ex husband. I am very impressed with her behavior, and proud that she is concerned about what is in the best interest of her children. He is a VERY LUCKY man to have her as his ex, rather than a superficial, selfish shrew. God bless you Denise. Stay by his side, give all the support you can, he is going to need it.

I'm sure Charlie has some dark secret regarding Denise and that along with the money he is paying keeps her lips sealed. I must admit however she is talented, and still pretty hot.

If everyone would use the time they spend on gossip and "what ifs" praying for Charlie, Denise and their children the bad things would disappear because the Bible tells us "All things work together for good to them that love the Lord"
I think Charlie is a good person and has so much to offer this world, we desperately need to pray for him.

Denise is an outstanding mother, daughter, friend and actress. I bet she was a great wife too but he messed that up. I would go so far as to say that on his regret list this would be at the top. I applaud her for her character shown during all of this. She's thinking of her girls. First and foremost.

Alcoholics Anonymous works for those who want to get sober. Find AA in your telephone book before you hit bottom hard, like Charlie. Remember, Sheen is a millionaire- he can afford these million dollar rehabs and good lawyers. YOU CAN'T! If you act up like him, there is a good chance you'll get popped. Get help before you go to prison.

Maybe that is exactly what he needs ! I mean lets face it, if what they are saying is true, and it happened in a normal town....he would be in big time jail right now. And he should be. This crap of these "stars" buying their way out of everything is old ! If you do it, do the time.
