Denise Richards Turning Down Tell-All Offers, Vows to Stand by Charlie Through Rehab

Now that Charlie Sheen is finally getting the help he needs by heading into rehab, it would be easy for his ex-wife Denise Richards to capitalize on what has become the biggest celebrity story of the week by giving a tell-all interview.

But Denise won't do it. Insiders close to the actress say she has been inundated with interview requests and has turned them all down.

"Her focus right now is on Charlie getting better and being there for her kids. He is their father and Denise wants him healthy so that he can be a part of their life," a source close to the Richards' camp tells PopEater.

We hear that Denise plans to stay strong and support Charlie while he goes through rehab. A rep for the 45-year-old actor wouldn't confirm how long his client plans to be in treatment, but insiders say they expect him to be in for at least three months.

Charlie's entry into treatment came after he was rushed to a hospital last week after reportedly partying with hard drugs and alcohol for several days at his home with several porn stars.

Even as news networks are practically begging Denise to spill all, she thinks it is best for her family right now to keep as much as she can private. She finally has some control over how this story will play out, and she plans to keep it as long as she can. The only feedback she has been giving about Charlie has come from her personal Twitter feed. Denise tweeted: "If you caught 'GMA' today...FYI No 'adult film star' will be babysitting our kids!"

An added advantage of turning down offers to talk is that it will help shield Denise from Charlie's bad behavior. She has been trying (successfully) to create her own brand and doesn't want it to be sullied by a constant association with Charlie. On a personal level, she feels she can be there for him, but professionally she doesn't want to co-brand herself with his actions.

I think Denise is a really good person to stand by him through the time when he obviously needs somebody that cares about him.

if charlie was black he would have been in Jail already and crucified by the media like they did to Tiger Woods! Double standards in America!

Why are you turning this into a race thing? For one, he's more Asian (1/2) than black (1/4). Plus, Tiger was crucified because the media loved the idea of turning a perceived upstanding guy who was on top of the world into a villain - which, ultimately, he was. Additionally, they also crucified Jesse James - 100% white. So grow the hell up - everything is not about race!

Granted, he should not be employed by anyone at this time. He definitly is crying out for help. I'm sure the man is not in jail because of the color of his skin. It all has to do with money. He has excellent attorneys. Money talks..always has and always will.

BS! Tiger isn't in jail. Neither is Whitney Houston who is Black most similar to Charlie in behavior. The difference is that Houston's spouses beat her and somehow she managed to look more doped up in public than Sheen ever has. No RICH black person goes to jail for doing what Charlie Sheen has done. Matter of fact, RICH black people can kill their ex wife (if she is white) and be found not guilty by their peers. So get off this "blacks go to jail" routine. Kobe avoided jail for rape the same way Big Ben did - by being a rich athlete.

This is getting to be a habit with you, Charlie. You are too old to be acting the fool. you need to spend some time with your children. I wonder when they will be used by a man, just like you have used every woman in your life. dont girls usually want a man like their dad. Think about it Charlie. Do you want your daughters to be like you. with that thought, be happy if you can.

They are crucifying Charlie because his true name is CARLOS ESTEVEZ and the media still doesn't like minority actors. Fight on, Charlie! Don't let them ruin you because you aren't white!

"Co-brand?" How cold. I am really glad I didn't go into celebrity journalism. I like Denise Richards and I also like Charlie Sheen. We have no idea what she is going through.

At a time when his life is on the line, it's a bit cruel, don't you think, to talk about his tarnished "brand?"

Poor Charlie, he has my sympathy. I hope he makes it as he is a wonderful actor. He probably would do better if he did not have that leech, Denise, using every opportunity she can to get some publicity. I think she is stalking him. What is it with you people who think she is so wonderful. She is a nobody, no talent who couldn't even make it when he tried to get her on his show. The only thing she has is that she was once married to him and by damn she is hanging on to him with her fangs for publicity and money. Who would have known that she was in NY? Who would have known she went to the hospital? I bet she stands out there jumping up and down and yelling to the media "here I am--here I am." She is worse than the rest of the skanks who all just want their 15 seconds of fame. It is sad that these megastars can have no friends and can trust no one. Everyone is just out to use them.

Denise is as screwed up as Charlie. And by the way, Charlie is doing rehab in his own home. How does that fit into what's supposed to be a rehabilitation process to cure these hollywood misfits. I know it won't happen, but if people would stop watching the 22 minutes of his crap on CBS, maybe being without a paycheck would bring him down to earth. I stopped watching it long time ago. It's the same old crap, womanizing and sexual innuendos. Total waste of time.
