Neil Patrick Harris' New Role: Making Twins Laugh

Neil Patrick Harris may be known for bringing the comedy on the CBS hit show 'How I Met Your Mother,' but his biggest fans are his 3-month-old twins, according to OK! Magazine.

Harris took to Twitter to share a major milestone for twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace: laughing.

"The tots both started laughing. On the same day," the proud poppa tweeted. "I'm now obsessed with getting them to do it. Babies laughing is like opium."

Harris and partner David Burtka welcomed their bundles of joy last October through a surrogate. The funny man also took to Twitter to make an official birth announcement.

"Babies!!" Harris wrote. "All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."

When not on daddy duty, Harris is busy working on his hit sitcom. His name has also been tossed around as a possible replacement for Regis Philbin on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' when the longtime host steps down this summer.

Excellent point Ronnie! Who cares if the babies have two fathers instead of what we consider traditional parents, they were 100%+ wanted and are totally loved!

and for the record ? they weren't adopted...one of them supplied the sperm and the twins were carried by a surrogate mother ...

It's too bad that they couldn't adopt their children - I'm sure there's lots of kids who need good homes whose hetereosexual parents don't want them. I understand it's difficult for single men or male couples to adopt children through all the paranoid folks in the system. I think that's why they had a surrogate, just like Ricky Martin and Elton John did.

Those folks who think that gay people don't make good parents, well it's too bad you're still living in the 1950s.

Gays adopt so that they can perpetuate thier choice of lifestyle

I would rather have two gay parents raise happy, healthy and loving children than to be stuck in a home made up of a Mother and Father where there are drugs, violence, molestation or even the instance of "staying together for the kids".
Not saying that this does not occur in homosexual homes, but it is more prevalent (especially the molestation) in heterosexual homes.
I can remember back in the day when people were against interracial marriages because "the kids will suffer for it".
As long as the child is raised in a happy, healthy environment, why should it be anyone else's concern who the parents are??? Yet when children are being physically and sexually abused neighbors tend to turn a blind eye. Choose your battles people. Protect the children from the bad parents, not the gay ones!!
