Diddy Presents Son a Custom Limousine for Making the Honor Roll

Diddy doesn't mess around when it comes to giving out presents. The Independent reports that he recently gifted his 17-year-old son, Justin, with yet another Mercedes Maybach for his birthday. The teen received his first Maybach, worth over $300,000 when he was just 16, but Diddy upped the ante this time around, giving Justin the limousine version of the luxury vehicle.

"Justin has turned himself around and is now an honors student, which he wasn't before, so I wanted to treat him," Diddy explained of the lavish gift valued at $390,000. "It's a collector's car so maybe he will use it for special occasions like on a first date, but like all my kids, he prefers the simpler things than the expensive things. Simple tastes."

Last year, the hip-hop mogul was criticized for giving his son such an expensive gift, which was chronicled on the MTV show 'My Super Sweet 16.' Diddy fought back at his critics, remarking that the opposition was based less around his finances and more around his skin color. "The whole thing about giving a Maybach to my son, that's really like a racist question," he said in response to an interview with journalist Martin Bashir, who questioned his decision to give his son the car.

"You don't ask white people what they buy their kids," Diddy continued. "And they buy 'em Porsches and convertible Bentleys, and it ain't no question. It's really a racist question and put things back in perspective with money and the way that people still look at you. And I'm not saying that consciously he's a racist. But he probably don't even realize that he would not ask Steve Jobs that. He would be like Steve Jobs has that money, and that's the gift his kid is supposed to get."

Aside from Justin, Diddy is also father to son Christian, 12, twin girls, D'Lila Star and Jessie James, 4, daughter Chance, 4, and stepson Quincy, 19.

OMG, you have 5 children, and you give a 17 year old a limo for getting good grades in school. And then you have a audacity to claim racist when someone thinks it is a bit much. Obviously your son is doing better in school than you did by your grasp of using proper english. Hopefully your indulgence of lavish gifts will not impede his better judgement of what real life is about. You obviously have NO clue. And NO education yourself. How sad that you feel money is what you give a child rather than love for his or her good grades and good behavior. Trust me, your children would rather have you and your love than all the gifts you can afford. You don't seem to know that, otherwise you would not have so many cildren with so many women!!!!!

Who says his children don't know and have his love because they have different mothers?

What does his lack of HIGHER education have to do with HIS SUCCESS? He is educated enough to be a successful mogul.

And, rich white folks don't get the same questions about what the give their children. He is loaded and they have a lifestyle that rich people have, and there is nothing wrong with that provided they have relationship and love.

Well at least he's spending it on his children and not some hooker and drugs, like some well known people recently in the spotlight. Maybe he wants his child to be safely driven around? It's his money, he can do with it as he likes.

I remember buying tickets to a Harry Chapin Concert in the 80's only to hear that he had been killed while riding in a Volkswagen Rabbit. All I could think was "Couldn't Harry afford a better car?" Diddy is right. The man is a multi-millionaire - his net worth was listed as 346 MILLION back in 2006. I guess these early-rising-Escort-driving haters want to dictate to him.
