J.Lo Is Furious That 'Idol' Is All About Steven Tyler

Who predicted 'American Idol' would be in deep trouble without Simon Cowell at the helm? Me, you, everybody, that is until Steven Tyler stepped up to breathe new life into the decade-old series, thrilling just about everyone -- save for Miss
Jennifer Lopez.
"This was meant to be Jennifer's big comeback," an insider complains to me. "The entire re-branding of the show was built around her, but now it's all about Steven 24/7."
While Jennifer's the one normally lavished with attention, I'm hearing she's getting annoyed with all the people asking her about the Aerosmith legend.
Snarked my source: "She's mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer's favorite idol -- herself!"
And although it may be a little too soon for 'Idol' to be congratulating themselves on another season well done, the doom and gloom theories that this would be the show's last year on the air are all but silenced.
"The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop," a TV insider tells me. "The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition. Last week's episode was actually up from last Thursday's episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year."
At the end of the day, it's shaping up that Steven has saved this show. Word of mouth about him and the quality of singers is getting stronger and stronger ever week, and so far he's even managed to get us to forget the departure of Simon Cowell. Sorry, Jennifer, we still miss Paula.

No kidding. Tyler is just awful. He is SUCH a lecherous, creepy, old junkie. Even I draw the line at leering at 16 year olds.
A couple of weak pop songs and some really bad movies.
She's lucky she's not slinging hash in a Bayone dinor.
I agree, i think both of them are doing Great!! and refreshing the show, even Randy finds a real role this year in the panel judges. I really don't miss at all Simon and sweet Paula. I love reading this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via age'min'gle.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends..
This is nothing other than an attempt to create some juice for this terrible show and its' horrible judges. I do feel badly for Randy.
Sorry JLo. You are a good singer and all, however Steven Tyler and Aerosmith are LEGENDS!! No contest there. Grow up!
J-Lo, get a hair cut. Those straggily extensions to your waste do nothing for you.
Yeah but sad to say he's better looking than Lopez
Id rather see J-lo any day than to see Paula with her twisted mouth popping pills like there was no tomorrow.
you seem like one of those shallow people who think since simon and paula are gone the shows done.? seems to be doing fine so far.shallow; shallow.
I think your wrong about Jennifer Lopez. People adore the "new duo." She is increadable and I personally don't miss Paula. I think Jennifer is great and enjoy watching her very much.
Jblow only got her name out by wearing skimpy cloths, not talent. She lives for the rumor mags like the Nat'l Decider. She always needs a guy with a name to help her. Now MR TYLER! Talent, talent , talent!!! I've gone to see Areosmith 6times, bought every album. He's been at the top since mid to late 70's. Jblow may be from around the block ahem(around the block a few times I'd say). Mr Tyler has been around the world and beyond! A woman that will show her body if it's decent will get noticed just for that. Try and make it as a man in the music world for decades, you need talent! Him learing at girls? What a joke! If they only knew how many better than the ones on the show that he's turned down! I can only imagine how many throw themselves at him. He's just a cool guy!
On top of everything else, Mike Q, I don't see anyone throwing themselves at Steven Tyler as you say. He is one of the most hideous creatures I have ever seen. He couldn't get a blind woman to touch him.
AI is still on? Who knew?
i agree with you 100 per cent, go back to the bronx, she is not all that!
@Nico,
Steven Tyler was giving the girl constructive criticism. He told her that she was showing just enough leg. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Could not agree with you more. Unfortunately J Lo is so in love with herself and wants to be the center of attention she makes you sick. She has failed in all her recent attempts at movies, singing, etc. and when AI offered her a job, she took it. Tyler may not be good looking, but he is a far better judge of talent than snobby J Lo....
Doesn't JLo know this show is NOT about her. What a COW
I've never seen an episode of AI (nor will I ever), but i've been a fan of Aerosmith and Steven Tyler since I was a kid. After almost 40 years of success in the business, Tyler has earned the title of a legend in the music business, now he's old and rich, if he wants to run around looking silly and acting like a kid, more power to him, he's earned it. By all accounts i've heard, Tyler is a very fun and down to Earth person with everyone down the the fan on the street. JLow (appropriate term), I can't stand her, I think Jamiee Fox put it best. Once she had a little success with music, he tried to go backstage at one of her concerts to say hi and congratulate her, and she blew him off, he said later "I remember her when she was nothing but a backup dancer on 'In Living Colour', b*tch needs to remember where she came from". As for the guys saying Tyler is "learing at 16 yr olds", they're probably the same guys staring at them fantasizing about all the things they'd like to do to them, then when caught looking by their wives or g/f's say "I can't beleive their parents let them go outside like that, it's disgusting".
ROCK ON STEVEN TYLER!
I guess Amerikans are in to Low Lifes
