J.Lo Is Furious That 'Idol' Is All About Steven Tyler

Who predicted 'American Idol' would be in deep trouble without Simon Cowell at the helm? Me, you, everybody, that is until Steven Tyler stepped up to breathe new life into the decade-old series, thrilling just about everyone -- save for Miss
Jennifer Lopez.
"This was meant to be Jennifer's big comeback," an insider complains to me. "The entire re-branding of the show was built around her, but now it's all about Steven 24/7."
While Jennifer's the one normally lavished with attention, I'm hearing she's getting annoyed with all the people asking her about the Aerosmith legend.
Snarked my source: "She's mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer's favorite idol -- herself!"
And although it may be a little too soon for 'Idol' to be congratulating themselves on another season well done, the doom and gloom theories that this would be the show's last year on the air are all but silenced.
"The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop," a TV insider tells me. "The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition. Last week's episode was actually up from last Thursday's episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year."
At the end of the day, it's shaping up that Steven has saved this show. Word of mouth about him and the quality of singers is getting stronger and stronger ever week, and so far he's even managed to get us to forget the departure of Simon Cowell. Sorry, Jennifer, we still miss Paula.

I have always liked J.Lo but if this article is true then oh please. Why are these stars so insecure? I don't get it. Next she will be asking to have the room lined in mirrors so she can see herself. As for SteveN, we all know he is a big rock star and can "sing" so why does he have to sing along with everyone? Plus the drooling over the young girls is disgusting. Bottom line the show is about the singers...NOT the judges.

told we will get to see a lot mer of jlo once they move on to HOLLYWOOD.....TEAM STEVEN

This "Rob Shuter" is just trying to make headlines with a made up story. Anyone who has seen the show can tell that Jen is genuinely a nice person that has great chemistry with her co-stars. Please stop making crap up and using your made up "source" to get people to read our story. It's not even a little bit believeable.

IDOL is not going anywhere. The IDOL staff hit the Jackpot when Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were brought onboard. It is a good mix inspite of all the bashing going on by the media. It's all hype. Jennifer is smart enough to know that Steven has millions of fans as does she and with both of them at the helm along with Randy Jackson, IDOL can only go upwards even more, if that is possible.

Paula who?! J Lo is 100 times better than Paula. I love Steven Tyler and J Lo equally. Their chemistry is great and genuiune. I know for a fact that this story is just bs. Just another jealous wanna be gossip writer that can't help but spread lies...and btw Paula Abdul can't sing. J Lo is lightyears more talented sweet and gorgeous to look at.

Seems to me they both had the same opportunities to make this thing work, and grab the spotlight.Steven siezed those opportunites, like talking to and embracing the girl in the wheel chair. I am surprised at the sensitive side of Steven Tyler. I think they both are great additions to the show. I also always thought J Lo was a terrible singer and mediocre actress at best.

Jen lucky she got a job,she just a pig with no talent!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jennifer and Steve are both talented performers in their own rite and in different ways. They each have their own fans. Personally I prefer Jennifer over Steve. I lost respect for Steve when I learned about his seemingly pedaphilic ways concerning his facination with teenaged girls.

I had never watched Idol before this season and I tuned in specifically for Steven Tyler! Love him!

The only one(two)things that I like is "Jo-Lo's" t*ts,hate that "fat lip f*g" from aerosmith and really hate the "Idol" program

I have always liked Jennifer Lopez, but she might better bite her tongue on this one. Steven Tyler has a much bigger fan base and she might be cutting her own throat if she doesn't watch what is said or perceived in her attitude with him!! Just saying.....

I expected to HATE Idol this season with out Simon. How dare they have an idol without him....but strangely enough I am growing deeply in love with STEVEN! He is turning out to be a fair and impartial judge. Never liked Randy to begin with..and like someone else said Jennifer who????????

I LOVE having JLo and Steven on American Idol. And I always love Randy. The three of them together are so refreshing!! No more bloomin' grumpy, stick up his you know what, old man (although, he did seem to get softer/mellower as the years went by) and no more whacked out, half there, has been, dancing diva. I had stopped watching for the past 3 years or so because of this and thought I would give this year a try with the newbies. LOVE IT!! JLo and Steven are NOT what the other two were like; I give them credit for jumping in and taking this risk.

They are all phoney's Rob Shuter is just trying to put some yeast in a usually flat column. Jlo is sitting on her talent, Randy Jackson is waiting on the show to end so he can go to a restaurant, and Tyler should be paying them for the privilege of being allowed to sit there and oogle all those pretty young girls.

I said it simply to my familia. I would be able to sing for Paula, Simon, Cara, Randy and Jlo. But singing in front of Tyler would make me extremely nervous. Like...fainting nervous! You are right when you say, Jlo is a star...Tyler, an icon.

Randy is a 2nd banana not the leader. Tyler's an old rocker, that's all. Frankie Avalon would be better. J-Lo is a no-no. They need an all-american girl who's funny.

g, are many of u 5th graders? why are people even concerned about who the judges are?, just concentrate on the contestants singing ability..this isnt and shouldnt be about who the judges are and their ability to shine, the contestants suppose to get or do all the shining, these judges will shine when this show is over in whatever their profession is.
