J.Lo Is Furious That 'Idol' Is All About Steven Tyler

Who predicted 'American Idol' would be in deep trouble without Simon Cowell at the helm? Me, you, everybody, that is until Steven Tyler stepped up to breathe new life into the decade-old series, thrilling just about everyone -- save for Miss
Jennifer Lopez.
"This was meant to be Jennifer's big comeback," an insider complains to me. "The entire re-branding of the show was built around her, but now it's all about Steven 24/7."
While Jennifer's the one normally lavished with attention, I'm hearing she's getting annoyed with all the people asking her about the Aerosmith legend.
Snarked my source: "She's mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer's favorite idol -- herself!"
And although it may be a little too soon for 'Idol' to be congratulating themselves on another season well done, the doom and gloom theories that this would be the show's last year on the air are all but silenced.
"The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop," a TV insider tells me. "The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition. Last week's episode was actually up from last Thursday's episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year."
At the end of the day, it's shaping up that Steven has saved this show. Word of mouth about him and the quality of singers is getting stronger and stronger ever week, and so far he's even managed to get us to forget the departure of Simon Cowell. Sorry, Jennifer, we still miss Paula.

I believe that everyone should have their time in the limelight. Including Jennifer Lopez & Steven Tyler. They are good additions to what may have been the near ending of American Idol. Jennifer is still as beautiful as she was years ago & although some say Steven can't sing, I would like to hear most of you scream like him and laugh all the way to the bank afterwards. They have given new live to the show. Give them a chance folks. The first year is always the roughest, remember last year?

i quit watching this when all those none singers won

AEROSMITH IS A GREAT BAND ,TYLER A BETTER LYRICIST AND FRONT-MAN ,THAN PURE TALENT SINGER ! BUT HE MADE IT WORK WITH AEROSMITH , PROVING ROCK AND ROLL SINGERS DONT HAVE TO BE GREAT SINGERS !!!!!!!!!1 AS FAR AS J-LO SHE HAS ABSOLUTLY NO TALENT AT ALL! ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS STRIP DOWN FOR THE PENTHOUSE CAMERA;S , AND SHE COULD BE A " GLORIFIED " CARMEN ELETRA ! AND CARMEN LOOKS 500% BETTER THEN THE J-LO COULD LOOK , EVEN AFTER A GOOD AIRBRUSH ARTIST , AND A 5 GALLON BUCKET OF PAINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jennifer Lopez really is a no talent has been. I couldn't name one song that she ever sang. Her acting is less than mediocre. She is lucky that they gave her a job. I am sure she was at the bottom of the list. The show is nearly dead, no matter what judges are on the panel. I refuse to watch anymore after Crystal Bowersox was robbed of the title last year. The show is a waste of time.

"...entire re-branding of the show was built around her..."
lol... the show is meant to be built around the contestants. Why would you go in as a judge thinking otherwise? .. He only gets most of the attention because of who he is.
Sadly, I've given up on the show, singers in the past 2-3 seasons just haven't done much for me, and while I'm kind of happy they did away with the overly-dramatic role of Paula, Jennifer Lopez is (not) a half-way decent replacement. I give it the rest of this season before it's canceled...
I will be interested in the very last episode when they announce how many calls they got, usually a "record high" .. I'm guessing things will be different this season.

Well, j-lo is a spoiled brat anyway..........

J is low and Tyler is high. Steven is a rock legend realize you have a big butt and a pretty face but that's it Lopez. Steven Tyler actually hurts his credibility by being on this lame show. All they seem to have is the same type of singers BLAH. At least with Tyler people know they must be really good.

I don't watch the show anymore, mainly because of him. I can't stand to look at him.

Absolutely Nancy! Same here 100%! He has a "face for radio" and though I tried, after 5 minutess the first night I gave up! They need to bringback Paula - at least even out of it she is entertaining, and replace Tyler with ohhh I'd even take Adam Lambert! Can you imagine him with Paula? That'd be awesome!! Too bad that Harry Connick jr. is too busy touring but just proves he is still in too great demand for Idol. Tyler & J Lo are a big NO NO.. I go through too many Rolaids trying to watch Tyler and listen to his gutter mouth..like the kid whose name "rhymed with something besides duck." Kids DO watch that show!!
I love the whole panel of judges this season. I didn't expect to like it either but tuned in to the first episode. I loved it! I think the new format is working very well. Randy seem happier too. Steven Tyler is great - he makes the best faces. JLo is also a good addition. She is beautiful and sweet.

It's not about J.Lo, Randy or Tyler, it's all about the contestants. Stop your whining, J.Lo. You have an incredible job, on national TV, making boo-coo bucks....what the hell more could you ask for. STOP the whining.

Has anyone else noticed that Randy has turned into Simon? Steven is the new Paula and J-Lo is now Randy. I really thought the show was going to bomb this year, but I think the new are judges are doing a good job.

Jennifer doesn't fit well into the show..she's like another Paula Abdul..it's annoying. However, Steven Tyler is a rock legend..he deserves to be there..because he knows whos gonna get somewhere, where as Jennifer would let someone in because they worship her.- I'm pretty sure they should replace Jennifer with a better judge.- just sayin.

don't worry jennifer your one hot looking girl and this guy is just a toad ..so just keep on smiling there's a lot of people out here that think the most of you .................

If Jennifer thought she was going to save this show, she's living in a dream world. If the show can be saved, Steven and Randy will have to do it. She's eye candy ONLY>

Well so far Idol hasn't shown me much, JLO by far is the worst of the three as far as judge's go. Steve and Randy are ok but the show will sink a slow death unless JLO kicks it up a notch. Cowell can't be replaced, he's one of a kind !!

I think the show is a great mix. Something so special about all three personalities. Talent attracts talent, and the show is going to be better than ever because everyone of the judges makes the show a definite winner!I love to watch the show, I am a definite fan!

Why do you think Jennifer is always resting her head on Steven's shoulder? She follows the camera.
