Justin Bieber Drums Up Support for 'Never Say Never' in Toronto

Bieber fever was in full effect in Toronto yesterday, as the mop-topped pop star paid a visit to the city to promote his new 3-D concert film, 'Never Say Never,' which hits theaters Feb. 11.

"Where's my fans? What's the point if my fans aren't here?" asked Justin Bieber, moments after his press conference commenced, prompting a crowd of awestruck fans to be led into the room by security.

"Lots of people think I'm made by some factory machine. But I worked hard to get here," the 16-year-old singing sensation from Stratford, Ontario, told reporters.

"I'm growing up as a person and as an artist, and I think my fans are growing with me. I'm going through different struggles and different things in my life. But it's not just me that's doing this. It's all my fans," he told CTV.ca.

"But it's the way I handle myself. I stay humble. I make sure to keep grounded and keep good people around me. That, you can build on."

As for building his empire, 'Never Say Never' -- which is directed Jon Chu ('Step Up 3D') and follows the teen's meteoric rise from unknown YouTuber to megastar packing out New York's Madison Square Garden -- should kick the Bieber brand into overdrive. Yes, it just might be possible for the heartthrob to drum up even more adorning fans.

As for his own thoughts on the biopic, Bieber is confident it will make a big splash -- even amongst his naysayers.

"The movie is a good movie, whether you like me or hate me," he said.

Thankfully for Bieber, though, his day in Toronto was all about love, as evidenced by the throngs of fans who waited hours in freezing cold temperatures to catch his performance at MuchMusic's Queen Street headquarters following the press conference.

He's a kid. His talents have been overly exaggerated and things are moving way too quickly for him.It's way too much way too soon. His ego (which hasn't had time to develop like a normal kid his age) won't be able to handle it once he's no longer number one. Shame on the people who are marketing Justin Bieber so relentlessly for their own egos' sake and the mountain of money they're making off of him. Are they going to be there to pick up the pieces when he crashes? Doubt it. They'll just move along to the next "in" young talent that can feed their egos and make them richer. It's disgusting!

She's a real diva.
