Ricky Gervais Promises 'Same S**t Again or Even Worse' at Next Golden Globes

Yesterday, it was reported that Ricky Gervais revealed he has been asked to present the Golden Globes next year. But the actor and comedian was unsure if he would accept or reject the offer of hosting the awards show for a third time in a row.

But the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) issued a statement denying that they had invited Gervais to host the Golden Globes next year.

UsMagazine.com reports that association president Philip Berk was quoted in the statement saying, "There is no truth to this rumor. We have not asked him to come back. Nice try, Ricky."

Gervais took to his blog where he clarified his earlier revelation, "You may also have read that I am hosting next year's Golden Globes. This is not true. Not yet anyway."

He continued, "The TV show organizers said they were happy with everything and asked me to not rule out a third gig. However, it is not entirely up to them. The Hollywood Foreign Press and various other committees need to meet and agree. I have no idea if they want me back again."

Gervais goes on to say, "Also, even if they did want me back, at the moment I'm pretty sure I shouldn't do it. But I'll tell you this. If they do invite me back and I accept, I'm going to pull exactly the same s**t again or even worse."

He concluded with, "Once again, everyone has been warned."

Gervais came under fire for crossing the line at the annual awards show, which was broadcast worldwide. The comedian took jabs at actor Charlie Sheen's latest scandal, Robert Downey Jr.'s arrest record, Hugh Hefer's new engagement and the failure of 'The Tourist,' among many others. Many people, including some celebs in the audience, took offense to some of his jokes.

I hope he returns, the elitist Hollywood loons deserve everything they get, they can dish it out but can't take it? it offends their poor sensibilities? ah!!!! too bad. The only thing about Ricky's performance I take issue is was his crack about God. When Hollywood crowds into a room I'm pretty sure God is no where to be found, these aren't the kind of people God would want to hang out with, lets see druggies, drunks, adulterers, self absorbed egomaniacs yeah I don't think so.

So it's okay for him to bad mouth people you don't like or care about as long as he leaves your favorite guy alone? What a fine christian attitude that is. According to what some people believe God is everywhere and knows everything you do. How could that be true if he wasn't at the show?

We would watch it again in a heart beat. You are the best host ever and extremely funny. Your way with words and faces beat anything we have seen.

Ricky is GREAT! Hollywood is full of idiots that think they are un-touchables. The world knows the celebrities issues because it is all over the rags and they want it that way. So stupid to be angry about anything Ricky said. EVERYTHING he said was THE TRUTH. Truth hurts huh? Get over yourselves! If one 'big' name thinks something all the rest of the Hollywood robots (celebrities) follow because they are afraid to say otherwise. Go Ricky!!! Keep it going!!! It was great fun and you did an awesome job. Very entertaining and that is what it's all about.

Theres some very touchy people in hollywood.
I find it pathetic that they cant take a joke, unless its on someone else. Ricky did a great job, and if these hollywood people cant handle it, they should find new jobs, that they probably would be better at in the first place.
I hope Ricky does do the next show, and tears them all a new one, again.

Sounds like someone is feeling the sting of his all the bad PR and had his PR people put out a bogus story to try to do damage control. Does anyone actually believe him?
