Lindsay Lohan's latest scandal revolves around a $2,500 necklace that she was seen taking from a high-end jewelry story near her Venice Beach home, and although she could face charges of grand theft, her father calls it one big "ridiculous" misunderstanding."When Lindsay wants jewlery, she askes me and I buy it. And if I think it's too pricey, she buys it," he tells me. "She gets so much on consignment and that's exactly what happened here."
Michael isn't buying reports that the jeweler and the police worked together for weeks to craft a sting operation in order to catch the 'Mean Girls' star wearing a $2,500 necklace.
"If she took something, it would have been addressed at the end of that business day."

If it had been me doing this I'd have been arrested within the day. Honestly the cops seem to be giving her a easy road too. Letting her walk aroud for weeks before she got photographed wearing it? How about if she had never worn it, or stolen something that wouldn't be seen outside of her home? She'd just have gotten away with it totally?

As many have said, if she had it on loan, the store would not report it stolen.
Sounds pretty simple to me.

a big part of her problem is her idiot dad.

Jewler's do consignment for stars, but it's always backed up by a credit card on file and paperwork is signed. She should have been given some kind of paperwork to back up her story. Jewlry is never given out by just words.

I do not know who her Mngr. is but they need to take charge and help her. As a Road Mngr. for many VIP's I would be canned in a second for I let one of my clients fall like they have let her be a victom of the press and vices of the law.
Lets face it, she is a high profile client and should be treated as such and should have someone with her at all times to protect her from herself and keep her out of the public's eye.
Shame on Manager. GET IT TOGETHER,quit taking the money and doing nothing!!!!

Hey Mike
How much did you charge for this interview? Why don't you and her mother get out from under her so called fame and be real parents and take this girl away and help her like real parents do

Her problem centers in her mind.
