Report: Kristen Stewart Offered 'Snow White' Role

Could 'Snow White and the Huntsman' be getting a little 'Twilight' blood? Maybe. According to Gossip Cop, Kristen Stewart has been offered the title role in Universal's much-anticipated fairy tale flick.

Though the official word is that Stewart remains a "person of interest" to take on the role of Snow White, sources close to the production dished that the role is hers if she wants it.

Other big names rumored to be attached to the Rupert Sanders-directed project include Viggo Mortensen as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. The film is set for a 2012 release date.

Besides wrapping up the final 'Twilight' installment, Stewart is beginning promotion for the Jack Kerouac-based film 'On the Road,' co-starring 'Country Road' heartthrob Garrett Hedlund.

I am so glad to know that I'm not the only person that thinks this is a HORRIBLE idea. She is not "acting" when she plays the same person in all of her movies. That's probaly just how she is. I picture Snow White being someone like Anne Hathaway. If Kristen Stewart gets the part, I most definitely won't be seeing it.

She needs diction lessons to cure that low-voiced mumble, and she is going to have to have some true acting chops to pull off sweet, kind, bubbly and trusting Snow White.
I've got my fingers crossed this is a bad rumor. Another post nailed it. Katy Perry. Yeah.

Surely with all the talented and fresh young actresses out there, they wouldn't need to fasten on someone whose sole claim to fame is looking vacuous and not being able to make up her mind between two guys I wouldn't take to bed on a bribe.

I personally love Kristen Stewart. I think she will be great for that role. She may not have been the best actress in Twilight but she was great in all of her other roles. Also isn't Garrett Hedland in "Country Strong" not "Country Road"?

I have seen her in something besides Twilight. I've seen 'The Messengers' and the 'In the Land of Women.' I saw no change in her acting abilities. She still fidgets and looks as if she'd rather be someplace else.

I have seen her in several shows and she does the same thing over and over. She is not a good actress and has little talent. The best thing that happened to her was Twilight, because she could just keep the same stupid couple of faces in every scene.

I think she'd make the perfect Snow White for this movie. It's a very dark tale, not much like the fairy tale version of the character at all. She's also very pretty and looks the part too.
