Lindsay Lohan, 24, surely hoped 2011 would give her time to rebuild her life after her legal saga last year, when the courts confined her to months of rehab until early January. Now, a TMZ source says Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, has received a fresh heap of bad news about her client: As early as Monday, Lohan will reportedly be charged with felony grand theft, accused by a trendy Venice, Calif., jewelry boutique of stealing a $2,500 necklace from their store last month.
Conviction could bring a maximum sentence of three years behind bars. And since Lohan remains on probation, the D.A.'s filing charges could mean immediate jail time for probation violation.
With stakes so high for the troubled starlet, perhaps that's why the district attorney's office has made an official statement refusing to confirm TMZ's claim at this time, and specifying that the investigation remains "under review," with no official decision made about charges yet.
TMZ insists that Lohan was informed Friday night, via a phone call with Holley, that the criminal charges are going forward.
While the case was under investigation, the actress apparently claimed that the necklace she's accused of swiping was loaned to her -- and that, unbeknownst to LiLo, her stylist simply forgot to return it in time. This week, Michael Lohan made a statement to PopEater exclusively, saying that the entire accusation is a "ridiculous" misunderstanding.

Both Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen need to get my book, SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety. It is an effective alternative to rehab clinics or AA. You can find my book immediately on a search. It costs very little and it downloads in seconds. The book is for the struggling alcoholic who needs to get sober and stay sober. The name: SOS Safely Obtaining Sobriety The Alcohol Recovery Aid by George Legacy It works!

I think the justice system sucks, when they can give someone 25 years to life for stealing a pizza to feed themselfs, and a total c-word like lindsey can get away with pretty much everything. Remember people when things don't go your way, just start crying. Efin beeotch! I hope they throw the book at her. Remember when you go to trial and are found guilty, you serve the time. She will plead out a deal but yet again. I wish there was a way to prove that these judges get kick backs from the D.A. change the trial rules to suit them whenever they feel like it. When they talk about a 98 percent conviction rate, how many inocent people went to jail and had their lifes ruined?

What all of a sudden she thinks she is above the law? No reputable store of any kind would just hand out items they sell, without some agreement in WRITING. She deserves to sit in prison for 3 years as suggested. Hope she gets one tough judge that will not back down, but put Lindsay right where she deserves to be.

Remember. There's law for them and then there's the real law for the rest of us.

Perhaps she should charged with felony theft for the cost of the tickets we paid to watch her "act", if that's what you'd call it! My 3 year old has more talent than her!

Lindsey and Charlie Sheen need to get lost already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She can't get a fair trial in California. Too much publicity.
Send her to Nevada for trial. Ask OJ when he expects to get out.

You know, when you see countries in the Mid-East or Muslim states and they cry they do not want to be "westernized" like America, Lilo is a prime example justifying their fears. This country and it's youth hold idiots like her as idols and the media and political BS fan the fires of this decadence, and we Americans sit back and let it all happen.

Let me ask all of you out there. When was the last time anyone of you went to a jewlery store and borrowed a 2500 dollar item, wore it around town then brought it back when you were done?
