An athletic mega-event that's practically a national holiday, Super Bowl Sunday has a way of inspiring a whole lot of cooking, marketing, music-making and, yes, low-budget comedy bits.Resident ESPN jokester Kenny Mayne recently decided to take viewers on a "hard-hitting" tour of the town where Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy grew up: Greenfield, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Penn., smack in the middle of Steelers territory.
And who should pop up in the footage? Oscar winner Matt Damon, over-the-top cranky in his role as a high-school rival (Damon actually went to high school in Cambridge, Mass.), griping about McCarthy from inside his posh Hollywood trailer.
Whether you want a Steelers or Packers victory, have a laugh at all the fine people who joined forces in this "report" to make fun of one of the most successful coaches in the NFL today.

So funny that so many of these people thought Matt Damon was actually being serious! That's almost funnier than the gag itself!

This is ESPN's attempt to inject public interest in an otherwise flat ratings projection of limited national fan appeal.

That was so cute and funny. Mike McCarthy was such a good sport and hello Matt Damon for the win! What a goofball. You never know where he's going to pop up and snark around next. What a character.
