Cynthia Nixon and Partner Christine Marinoni Welcome Baby

Cynthia Nixon and her partner of seven years, Christine Marinoni, have welcomed a baby boy, PEOPLE reports.

Marinoni, an education activist who began dating the 'Sex and the City' actress in 2004, gave birth to son Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni on Monday. The couple announced their engagement in 2009.

Marinoni's rep says of the new mom, "Christine and baby are doing great."

Nixon, who has two children with former partner Danny Mozes, told The Advocate of her bride-to-be, "I feel like Christine is so amazing with our kids -- because they're our kids. I feel like falling in love with her is part of being amazed at how she makes our family so much better."

Max is the first child for Nixon and Marinoni, who intend to tie the knot when gay marriage becomes legal in New York.

I'm sick of hearing about EVERYONE'S precious babies, especially when I know that mine were the best things to happen on this planet.

I'm tired of people of who don't know how to "drive" strollers, of out-of-control kids running around restaurants and down theater aisles, of proud dopey dads showing off their little featureless brats and almost tripping while carrying them on their shoulders…

Everyone's kids should stay home if they're not well-behaved. If that prevents you from going anywhere, that's your problem. Shouldn't've pro-created with someone with untreated ADHD.
