After two and a half years of marriage, Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from her husband, Pete Wentz. TMZ reports that Simpson, who married the former Fall Out Boy bassist at her parents' California home in 2008, filed documents in LA County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of their split.The singer-actress, who has a 2-year-old son, Bronx, with Wentz, is seeking primary physical custody of the child in addition to sharing legal custody with her ex. The pair released a joint statement to PEOPLE that asked for privacy and stressed their commitment to their son.
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," the couple said through a spokesperson. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."

I know.. I knew that these two wouldn't stay married for long. I believe that she got married because she got knocked up. These people in Hollywood get married like they are dating. It's almost like another form of dating. I don't feel sorry for neither one of them.

If you would break up with someone or not date them for the simple fact that they wore eyeliner I feel sorry for you. People have their own likes and dislikes and some men like to wear eyeliner. What's the big deal? Not all men would rather act like mach douche bags who build up their muscles and ride lifted trucks.

My husband was (and still is, but is on hiatus,) a musician. I've got WONDERFUL pictures of him with his long, dyed black hair, and make-up, including eyeliner, that I keep at my desk at the office. It was part of the performance, and performance did carry over to social events where others in the industry would be or in places where they needed to know his what his style was. We've been married almost 8 years, we have a beautiful daughter (who also gets a kick out of those old pics,) and not only was the guy-liner not a turn-off, it showed me his creative side, that without which (the creative side, not the make-up,) I would NOT have been interested in him. So I see little validity in your statement.
In this relationship, sadly, the writing was on the wall. But I would have liked for them to make it, if nothing else but to thumb their noses at the nay-sayers, and of course, for their son (who's a total cutie!)

This is not a place to put statements on who thinks what about same sex relationships or otherwise, get a life... I think it is too bad that this didn't work out and at least the parents are keeping it civil and good luck to all.
It seves Ashlee well for marrying a star. She herself is a star. So she married a star to make news. But the news died down shortly after her marriage. Who cares if she married a star. If she had married an unknown like yours truly that would have made news that would never have died. I'm still available.
