Bristol Palin Confirms She Will Run for Political Office

Bristol Palin, 20, is already plotting her future career in -- you guessed it -- politics! In an interview with E! News, Bristol admits that she'll "probably" run for office sometime "further down the road."

But sources claim Bristol's foray into politics is going to happen a lot sooner than she lets on. "Bristol has a new sense of confidence since she did 'Dancing with the Stars,'" the source said. "She has seen her mother (Sarah Palin's) success and believes Washington should have more regular people like her in office making decisions for the country, rather than the elite that currently run DC."

The abstinence speaker and soon-to-be author "doesn't have a strong political resume," but the source claims "that's what will make her a great congresswoman or even president!" Who knows? Maybe Bristol will be vying for the White House in 2012 instead of Mama Grizzly!

When asked just what would drive this young mother to enter the cutthroat world of politics, Bristol's answer was similar to one her own mom has given in the past. "If I saw something that needed to be changed, then I would step up to the plate and do something about it," she said.

Bristol better prepare for a lot more criticism to come her way if she wants to work in government. The Hollywood bullies' cracks at her are nothing compared to the punches Washington, DC, is sure to throw her way. And while we might not know much yet about her ability to cut excess spending or pass a bill, we do know the girl's certainly got a mean foxtrot.

She was home-schooled by one of the most successful politicians in the country so her lack of a high-school diploma shouldn't count. And if her momma winds up in the White House after the 2012 election, she'll have a chance to talk with national leaders from all over the world. It's possible that she could run as the VP candidate in her mother's presidential bid. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what this amazing young woman does next.

Wonderful, another hypocrite running for office. Okay for me to have sex in high school says Bristol, but now that I'm being paid to promote not having sex, I believe it was wrong.

Good instincts, gets back with the boyfriend who continued to use her for his gain.

This girl is delusional, the only office she might achieve is "dog Catcher" in Wasilla AK.

Proof the American educational system is a failure; all the folks who support this dimwit.

Well, Bristol, I am not going to put you down. If you really want to seek higher office then... graduate college, work in the private and public sector, raise your kid, and most importantly, finish what you start...don't quite half way in like your mom did.

We here in America need young people getting active in thier nation,, And basically anybody that wants to run for office has that right to do so.. I kind of like the idea of regular types of people ruleing the roost so to speak you know regular little people from regular down to earth families that have a little idea of how things should be its called equalization of power and the TEA PARTY just got a chance to make a change for the better here in this nation so lets just see where it takes us...Good luck to the young lady...

Yep, we're officially living in "The Twilight Zone". This little girl needs to realize that "reality TV" is a far cry from reality and that being on "DWTS" and having a child that she has the means to afford to have someone else raise doesn't qualify her for any job requiring real-world skills, maturity, and life-experience. Personally, as a Democrat, I'm thrilled that the Palins/tea party are tearing apart the Republican party. Way to go!! In the end, the people will realize what a bunch of dumb clucks they are!! They just make outrageous remarks to get attention and many people fall for it if they're repeated enough. Can't wait till 2012 because the Palins/Tea Party/Republicans are going to get a BIG surprise!!

No one has to "trash" the Palins. They have done that very well for themselves. Their low intelect has made them believe that their popularity among other Americans who share their level of intelligence means that the rest of the country would vote for them for anything they choose to "run for". They qualify for NO important political office. They could possibly get elected, but are qualified for nothing other than "the joke of the century". Poor Bristol, I pity her for her lack of maturity, and inability to see that for herself. She says she doesn't "care what people say", but in fact, that is exactly what she SHOULD be listening to. She needs to grow up, examine her situation, and go get the education which her mom never achieved. Maybe in the "far distant future", she could possibly hope people will have forgotten the last few years of Palin notoriety, and "run" for some Political office. This country is filled with brilliant young women, who have the talent, drive and ability, to achieve whatever level in politics they choose. Bristol will have to work her way up and go above all these women to ever get to the top. It won't be a DWTS type of "vote" where they vote for the "underdog", out of pity, because she is saddled with the handicap of Sarah Palin for a mother. They voted for her on DWTS because they wanted her to be able to break away from her family and have the money to achieve something on her own. I hope she has the good sense to know just how she needs to do that.
