No matter how many drugs Charlie Sheen allegedly does, no matter how many porn stars he's reportedly tied to, 'Two and a Half Men' continues its ratings success as CBS' cash cow. But why?
In a new nationwide poll of 700 Americans ranging from age 13 to 59, The Hollywood Reporter discovered some serious Sheen support. It turns out 82 percent of women and 76 percent of men say they'll continue watching the show regardless of Sheen's debauchery and personal issues.
►26 percent of the people surveyed view Sheen in a "much more" or "somewhat more" favorable light after hearing about his recent trip to the hospital.
►90 percent of Sheen's and the show's "avid fans" don't consider the actor's substance abuse problematic as long as he does his job.
►96 percent of viewers wish for Sheen to return to 'Two and a Half Men.' Just 4 percent want him to quit.
Our other favorite statistics include 56 percent thinking the show should address Sheen's real-life problems, 59 percent believing Sheen isn't quite acting but more playing himself and 62 percent saying the media should lay off.
A friend of the 45-year-old actor's recently toldPopEater's Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter, "If the ratings go through the roof again, as they did after Charlie's incident in New York ... Charlie will be out [of rehab] again in no time and back to his old ways. However, if the public finally stops rewarding Charlie for his bad behavior, then, and only then, can you expect him to take the situation seriously."
The latest news is that Sheen will return to 'Two and a Half Men' by the end of February.

Hubby and I quit watching at least two years ago, not because of Charlie's behavior, but because the show was getting boring and repetitive. It's jumped the shark and should be retired with dignity - if there is any left.
It's no wonder is it. I've watched a couple of episodes and it was apparent the show is on repeat, repeat, repeat. Our country is in a lot of trouble if we will "MINDLESSLY" pay Charlie for his behavior and support it by viewership. Just sayin
Two and a Half Men is the funniest show on T.V. My husband and I have seen every episode, some of them more than ten times and we still laugh out loud!! The only thing we've noticed in this 9th season though is that Charlie looks thinner and dissheveld (obviously from the extra partying he's been doing lately). Hopefully he'll finally let rehab work for him so we can have him taping this and next year's season!. Go! Charlie!!
The older shows are really funny; but the latest ones seem a little flat, perhaps due to writers. Seems that Berta and Mom and Herb have the best lines. I am sorry to see the kid sink into a dirty mouth; and I'm no prude. That's just not very funny most of the time.
This along with SouthPark are the only shows worth anything. The rest of television is all so called reality shows with a bunch of morons. That show about some people from NJ. A bunch of 30yr olds acting like they're 12and taking viagra while drinking till they can't talk. And idiots have the nerve to put down 2 1/2 men? Hopefully it will continue and if it stops I hope for a spinoff using Charlie, his girlfriend and nephew. Anything with Charlie is GREAT! It's pretty awesome when a guy can just act natual and be a hit!
Ol Charlie will probably beg for help in time, and it will be too late. He'll probably need a liver transplant before too long. Brain damage is something else. STD is something else to consider.
You are so right. Neurological involvement is one of the most pressing dangers in situations like this. People in situations like this usually suffer mightedly during withdrawal which may be part of what he is avoiding. Hope his father follows through his threat to force him into treatment. It might be a good example to young people who follow these stories.
We used to enjoy the show . But the last few years we realized that he is not acting but playing himself. The rest of the cast is quirky and fun but Charlie seems to be on a downward spiral that makes it hard to watch .
All I can say is that this new poll speaks VOLUMES about the fans who watch Two and a half men. Like they say it’s just Charlie being Charlie………and while Charlie is being Charlie someone else is raising his 5 children, he is such a GREAT role model to his children.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos

If you're stupid enough to be watching that trash, of course his behavior won't bother you. You're already an imbecile

You are right on target.
It's jumped the shark....what the hell is jumped the shark???
i guess ritzo never watched "happy days".
Well, he does live in a beach house. He could go water-skiing ,(with a leather jacket) and jump a shark. That would make official.

God is good, God is great, Turn before you burn.
I agree with everything you said. The show is great and so are the writers and all the regular actors.
