Charlie Sheen Scandals Leave 'Two and a Half Men' Fans Unfazed

No matter how many drugs Charlie Sheen allegedly does, no matter how many porn stars he's reportedly tied to, 'Two and a Half Men' continues its ratings success as CBS' cash cow. But why?

In a new nationwide poll of 700 Americans ranging from age 13 to 59, The Hollywood Reporter discovered some serious Sheen support. It turns out 82 percent of women and 76 percent of men say they'll continue watching the show regardless of Sheen's debauchery and personal issues.

THR's poll, conducted Feb. 6, also found:

►26 percent of the people surveyed view Sheen in a "much more" or "somewhat more" favorable light after hearing about his recent trip to the hospital.

►90 percent of Sheen's and the show's "avid fans" don't consider the actor's substance abuse problematic as long as he does his job.

►96 percent of viewers wish for Sheen to return to 'Two and a Half Men.' Just 4 percent want him to quit.

Our other favorite statistics include 56 percent thinking the show should address Sheen's real-life problems, 59 percent believing Sheen isn't quite acting but more playing himself and 62 percent saying the media should lay off.

A friend of the 45-year-old actor's recently told PopEater's Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter, "If the ratings go through the roof again, as they did after Charlie's incident in New York ... Charlie will be out [of rehab] again in no time and back to his old ways. However, if the public finally stops rewarding Charlie for his bad behavior, then, and only then, can you expect him to take the situation seriously."

The latest news is that Sheen will return to 'Two and a Half Men' by the end of February.

i got news for you.....i don't watch 2 1/2 men because of Charlie, I watch because of Jon, Conchata, I love their mother (Holland)! and that Angus -is just plain funny!

I like the show and Charlie in the press is so similar to the scripts that I am not offened like Vick hurting dogs or Palin shooting wolves from helicopters or some politician cheating on his cancer patient wife.
No guy making two million a week has self control if he can still get it up and get it on. Charlie burning bright and will burn out like Janis and John B. He has the right to die young

Charlie Sheen needs to realize he is not 20 anymore. He is a man in his 40's who needs to GROW UP!!!!! If you can call him a man. I did like the show but like others have said the storyline is getting repetative.

His personal life really has nothing to do with his work life. Although I think he's pretty much a loser and I don't like what he does, I love the show and will continue to watch.

I will still watch the show. I think Jon Cryer and the other cast members make the show. Charlie is just a drunk loser and like alot of other celebrities, they just don't realize how lucky they are to be in their positions and they take it for granted. Get rid of the loser and give someone sober a chance!

Go Charley. When you can live your life on TV and get paid for it. What a life party on, but lighten up be high, but not stoned all the time.
They need a show called The Life and Parties of Charley Sheen. Please lighten up on the coke, or if you have to have some coke make it Cokeacola.

Charlie is a great actor.. and the acting in the show is awesome.. makes me laugh all the time... He is real and the show is truly awesome.. Charlie may have problems, but who does not.. so back off all you people who think you should make judgement on him and look at yourselves.. Stop pointing fingers... I like him, his show and as far as I am concerned I am sending prayers his way so that he can find his way.. this negative information that is being spread by everyone does not help.. LEAVE HIM alone and let him get the help he needs... obviously his show ratings are doing awesome.. it would be terrible to lose a great guy like him..even with his faults...

For his own good I wish he would get help! But to those who suggested he leave the show is pretty ridiculous in my opinion! He's the star..you may as well cancel it if he is forced to leave!

He's a tool. Most people are dying to live, while this fool
is living to die and making 2 million a week. He'll probably die from an overdose anyway....What a waste. I stopped watching the show because of the way he depicts women or should I say everyone but himself!

I don't understand why this is surprising at all. His job is probably helping stay out of MORE trouble, why should he give it up?
And why the HELL should we care anyway? He isn't a murderer or a dangerous theif - he's a sex addict. He isn't hurting anyone, and if anything he's supporting some women financially. Let him have fun.

Couldn't disagree more. He IS hurting someone, and he has hurt someone, and chances are in about the 100% range that he will hurt someone again and again unless he's stopped. He shot his fiancee Kelly Preston, He has threatened both wives with knives and guns, threatened to kill them. He has beaten the "escorts" he has hired, including the one in NYC who had to lock herself in the bathroom. He despises and hates women and thinks they are disposable trash. If he wants to off himself, ok, but chances are that he'll end up killing a woman sooner or later, instead of himself.

The show is hilarious. It's not like he does any of that crap ON the show. . . so of course it's not going to have too much effect on the fan base. Personally, I like the guy, but that picture I saw recently of his teeth??? If he's into meth' now, he won't be around much longer no matter how many fans he has.

I could tell by the way Charlie looked that he wasn't doing good. He needs to get his stuff together (politely put) and remember that his fans are behind him. I hope and pray that he gets the help he needs and stays straight and strong. WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST CHARLIE!! I hope he does well as he is not the only one to do with the show. If that gets canned they will be "fined" for Charlies actions too.

Hey, tons of actors and movie stars had the same problems way back in the day. It was all kept under wraps. Today, we talk about eveything.

The show rocks and his problems are HIS problems. Just wish him well and life go on.

The character Sheen plays on TV is very similar to his lifestyle so it is not a big jump for fans to believe he acts like this. Sheen has been seen as a the ultimate bachelor/playboy in other shows too, like Spin City. He is a good looking guy, he is charming, and a likeable character. It would be different if he were in a role where he was playing a role model or giving advice or making money on his clean cut family image...but he is not. I hope he is able to get help for his own sake and the well being of his children.

I have to say Two and Half Men is one of my favorite shows. But after seeing Monday nights show..I am concerned for Charlie. He looked thin and old..yes it's always Charlie being Charlie, but he isn't young anymore, but more importantly he is a father of 4 children and he needs to start putting them and their right to have a father in their life first... Charlie I still Love you and your show, but Charlie you've had your fun now it time to slow down and be their healthy for your children.. SORRY CHARLIE
