Charlie Sheen Scandals Leave 'Two and a Half Men' Fans Unfazed

No matter how many drugs Charlie Sheen allegedly does, no matter how many porn stars he's reportedly tied to, 'Two and a Half Men' continues its ratings success as CBS' cash cow. But why?

In a new nationwide poll of 700 Americans ranging from age 13 to 59, The Hollywood Reporter discovered some serious Sheen support. It turns out 82 percent of women and 76 percent of men say they'll continue watching the show regardless of Sheen's debauchery and personal issues.

THR's poll, conducted Feb. 6, also found:

►26 percent of the people surveyed view Sheen in a "much more" or "somewhat more" favorable light after hearing about his recent trip to the hospital.

►90 percent of Sheen's and the show's "avid fans" don't consider the actor's substance abuse problematic as long as he does his job.

►96 percent of viewers wish for Sheen to return to 'Two and a Half Men.' Just 4 percent want him to quit.

Our other favorite statistics include 56 percent thinking the show should address Sheen's real-life problems, 59 percent believing Sheen isn't quite acting but more playing himself and 62 percent saying the media should lay off.

A friend of the 45-year-old actor's recently told PopEater's Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter, "If the ratings go through the roof again, as they did after Charlie's incident in New York ... Charlie will be out [of rehab] again in no time and back to his old ways. However, if the public finally stops rewarding Charlie for his bad behavior, then, and only then, can you expect him to take the situation seriously."

The latest news is that Sheen will return to 'Two and a Half Men' by the end of February.

Its a tv show and you watch them because you like the show not of what they do in there spare time. Its what they put on the show that i care about. And honestly its nobodys business what he does off the set but his own. Apparently most people feel the same way or he wouldnt be making 1 million an episode.

Well, the poll proves the metality and age of the viewers. I'm certain the 10-14 yr. olds love this program. Again, CBS and I believe Warners Brothers (distributer of the program) are enablers of Charlie's life style. That idiot will continue his life style until they find him dead from an overdose (God forbid) I would not wish this on his dad...he seems like an OK guy.

He's a boob, but as long as he does what he gets paid to do, his personal life is none of my concern. Same goes for politicians. . .Our society is so concerned about someones sex life instead of just enjoying life and being concerned about the things that matter!

What is with people Leave the Guy alone Just to clue all you eddiot's in that think all actors are Perfect well open your eyes people actor's and actreses are human too I'm sure there are alot of people out there doing the same thing the only difference is therr just plain folk's so there not in the public eye. I hope te best for Charlie and wish him the best on the right path but only he can choose the direction he want's to go So to answer the question NO I'M NOT GOING TO STOP WATCHING THE SHOW no matter what charlie dose don't mean a hill of bean's to me the show is frcken halarious!!!!!!!!!

I have seen every episode of Two and A Half Men and last week was the worst I've seen Charlie Sheen look. He looks very unhealthy and maybe he should clean up his act so we will still watch his show. And for his childrens sake.

It's disgusting that audiences are just turning a blind eye to Sheen's violence, as long as his show is funny. Where are our priorities?

Losing his fans won't cause him to quit anything. It usually has to be much deeper than that.

One of the reasons his character resonates so well with the viewers is that his character is just a slightly less destructive version of him.

I don't hold anything against him because he rarely makes excuses for his actions. At least he's not a fake. Good luck Charlie! you'll need it.

You are so wrong, don't you get it, if people poo poo his actions and keep watching, then he will think it is OK. That is why he does it over and over and over again because no one, not even his so called fans say it is bad. Life imitates art. Charlie is spot on, and you are no fan. He is hurting himself, thinking he has no problem. You keep watching until he is six feet under.

@Keying- Unfortunately, I know first hand what addiction does to you and what it takes to beat it. He is already addicted. What his fans think of him has little or no effect on his behavior.

You approach his situation with good logic. You would be right if he were just a party animal and not an addict (alcoholic).The problem is that logic doesn't factor into an addicts actions.

Addicts can imagine living without a job, a family, friends, respect, money, etc. They can't imagine living without drugs or alcohol.

I hope he cleans up. He is a great talent. Unfortunately, he knows what he is doing. If he won't stop for himself or his family, his fans can have no influence on him. If he finally decides to really quit, his fans support will then be helpful.

I love the show, I try very hard not to miss it, every night and especially on mondays. So, please don't kill the show. All of the players are excellent. Charlie has a problem that will take hard work, the best thing to do is to keep coaching him into getting well. They can include rehad into the show, maybe that can help the process. Good luck Charlie...I love you. (and Alan too)

well the show isnt much worse then his life! The show is a horrible example, who wants to watch a womanizer sleeping with several different women in front of his kid...whatever! we are in the end times and this show is pure corruption at its best and they add a cute kid,some humor and all of a sudden we have a wonderful family show! I dont get it! I am ready to get rid of my television set for good, but there are some good programs and channels out there!! Bleah, America needs its moral back and it needs GOD! period!

Charlie's fans are not good fans, they are enabling him to do all the bad habits he wants. This are not fans. This guy needs major help, and if ALL OF YOU SO CALLED FANS KEEP SAYING OH IT IS NOTHING, THEN ONE DAY HE'LL BE DEAD. Thanks fans, I stopped watching because he needs help.
